Top 20 Best Selling Games of December 2023 & Year (USA)

What were the Top 20 best selling games in December 2023 in the United States?

The newest Circana (NPD) numbers are in, and so are the top lists of the highest selling game systems and games (by revenue) for last month in North America. Including both retail and most digital sales & revenue numbers.

Call of Duty jumped to the #2 sales for the whole year in just two month! It was a tight race to the end of the year to see if COD sales could catch up to a new “Harry Potter” game. But Hogwarts Legacy won the race! This marks the first time in 15 years that there won’t be a COD or GTA game at the #1 spot! 😮

Another interesting note is that subscription services on console and PC platforms — like Game Pass, PlayStation Plus & Nintendo Online — only accounts for 10% of total video game content spending in the USA. This despite huge growth, gamers still seem to prefer buying games to own them.
