How to remove fog from the map: First get the paraglider (needed for scanning the map) by playing the story until “Story Quest 3: Crisis at Hyrule Castle” and play the quest until Purah unlocks Area Survey Towers for you. Go to the Lookout Landing Tower to activate your introduction to revealing the map. From then on, by scaling towers to the top and launching into the air you can defog the area surrounding each tower.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Map Differences to Breath of the Wild
In case you’re worried about the Hyrule Kingdom land map being exactly the same as the one from Zelda: Breath of the Wild… don’t be, the map will be familiar but different. Take a look at a comparison showing the differences.
