Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp Cheats List
Go to Hachi’s Shop to unlock additional CO’s and Maps for use in Versus Mode as well as music and artwork.
Advance Wars 1 Cheats
Nintendo Design Map:

| Hold the L and R shoulder buttons at the same time while opening the Design Map function. | The map that loads will feature a series of mountains and forests that spell Nintendo in Japanese. |
Unlockable Missions:

| Sonja’s Secret Battles | Beat “Kanbei Arrives!” in 8 or fewer turns, “Mighty Kanbei!” in 10 or fewer turns, and “Kanbei’s Error?” in 12 or fewer turns. |
| Special Intel Field Training Mission | To access the field training mission called Special Intel, first you must clear all of the other Field Training missions. When you go back to field training you’ll see it in the list of missions. |
Unlockable Modes, CO’s & Advanced Campaign Code:

| Advanced Campaign | After you finish the main Campaign and buy the Advance Campaign, hold down the Select button before entering Campaign Mode and you’ll play in Advanced Mode. You’ll face stronger enemy opposition, but win more coins if you complete the mission |
| Open Up New Gameplay Modes | To open up the War Room, Campaign, Design Maps, and Stats options on the main menu, you must first complete the final mission in Field Training. |
| Unlock CO Drake | You must select Andy for these missions during campaign mode: Captain Drake – Naval Clash- Wings of Victory – Battle Mystery. |
| Unlock CO Eagle | Choose Sami for Captain Drake, Naval Clash, Wings of Victory, Battle Mystery – At the end of the campaign, you will have a final battle, between Andy (you) and Eagle |
| Unlock CO Grit | You must select Max for Mission 4 in Campaign mode and complete the campaign. Grit will then appear in the Battle Maps section to be purchased for 50 coins. |
| Unlock CO Kanbei | You must complete the Campaign. He will appear in the Battle Maps section to be purchased for 50 coins. |
| Unlock CO Nell | Once you have purchased all of the CO’s and completed Advanced Campaign, Nell can then be bought in the battle maps section for 80 war coins |
| Unlock CO Olaf | Successfully complete the Campaign Mode. |
| Unlock CO Sonja | Unlock and win Sonja’s secret missions in the campaign (see other hints) and complete the campaign. Sonja will appear in the Battle Maps area to purchase for 60 coins. |
| Unlock CO Sturm | Once you have purchased all of the CO’s except Nell from Battle Maps (Grit, Eagle, Drake, Kenbei, and Sonja), Sturm will appear on the list and can be purchased for 100 coins. Note – Sturm can only be used in Vs. mode. |
| Use other CO’s in multiplayer | To use other CO’s in multiplayer, you first beat campaign and then go to battle maps where you can buy them. |
Easier final battle against Sturm:
To make the final mission a lot easier, allow Sturm to capture the Airport just north of the Orange Star base, and make sure you have Missiles in range of the Airport panel. Sturm will spend 22000 per turn building a Bomber that you can immediately destroy before use, making him much less of a threat. With Sturm wasting 22k per day making Bombers, his army is much weaker and easier to manage, no matter which allies you end up having in this battle.

What are all the Commanding Officers?
Orange Star CO’s:
- Andy – A mechanical boy wonder with good all-around skills. Impulsive to a fault, he’s fiercely protective of those he calls friends.
- Max – Gung-ho strongman who is loyal and earnest. Unmatched when it comes to direct combat, but weak over distances.
- Sami – Infantry unit specialist who has trouble with other ground units. She’s a proud graduate of special-forces training.
Blue Moon CO’s:
- Olaf – A braggart whose tactical prowess has earned him respect. Easily affected by the climate, he’s strong in snow, weak in rain.
- Grit – Laid-back style masks his dependability. A peerless marksman with ranged attacks, he tends to dislike direct combat.
- Colin – An inexperienced little rich boy who somehow became a CO in Blue Moon. Views Olaf and Grit with awe and admiration.
Green Earth CO’s:
- Drake – A former pirate with a big heart. His naval units rule the seas, but he has trouble with air units. Rain seems to follow where he goes.
- Jess – The gallant tank-driving CO who fought her way to the top. While her ground vehicles are mighty, she suffers outside her domain.
- Eagle – King of the skies who joined the air force to honor his father’s legacy. Air units are matchless, but has weak naval units.
Gold Comet CO’s:
- Sensei – This former paratrooper was an unbeatable CO in his day. Excels with troops and copters, but poor eyesight holds back some units.
- Kanbei – The leader of Gold Comet with a soft spot for his daughter. His superior units are full of fighting spirit, yet come at a cost.
- Sonja – Kanbei’s daughter who values intel over all else. Tops in fog of war. Fun fact: She graduated special forces training overseas.
