The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 Hints

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 you say? Yes please! A sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie‘s after-credits open ending seems to be in the making at animation studio Illumination, of course pending the movie’s financial boxoffice success. The movie’s lead voice-actor, Chris Pratt, seems to think it will happen saying the seeds have already been sown by the studio for 10 more years of Mario movies!

To quote the movie voice of Mario in his Extra interview: [at 1:43 minutes into the interview]

“It’s very promising as to what we can expect over the next 10 years — an entire universe of these types of movies. They’re super nostalgic, they’re really fun.”

Chris Pratt and Charlie Day talk to “Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers about voicing Mario and Luigi in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which is inspired by the iconic Nintendo game. They address some fan criticism about the voice accents and also dish on their sons being big Nintendo fans. Chris also teases what to expect from Illumination in the future. “The Super Mario Bros. At the end of the movie’s credits, there’s a post-credits scene setting up a possible sequel. Mario and Luigi are walking into an underground sewer in Brooklyn, New York, America. This is where they find a Yoshi egg from the Mushroom Kingdom in the real world! The Yoshi eggs starts to crack open and you hear a Yoshi come out as the screen fades to black! “YOSHI!” 😀
