The Game Awards 2022 New Game Announcements List

Amazing how many world premieres were included in the 3-hours-long show. It’s been more exciting to watch then the full week of E3 reveals, but then again 2021-2022 have certainly been quiet years.

Exciting surprise announcements were:

  1. Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania debut animated trailer shown. New DLC coming Q1 2023.
  2. Vampire Survivors announced for mobile iOS & Android.
  3. Valiant Hearts, 1917’s Ubisoft world war game coming to Mobile soon. Published by Netflix Games.
  4. PS5-exclusive Returnal coming to PC in early 2023.
  5. Any Samsung Smart TV from 2021 and onwards with the Xbox app allows you to play Fortnite and any Xbox Game Pass game with a wireless Xbox controller, as shown by Ninja.
  6. It Takes Two game merch announced, including elephant plushie.
  7. Hellboy cel-shaded game announced. Looks like Wolf Among Us, except it’s a fighting action game Mike Mignola’s Hellboy: Web of Wyrd.
  8. Horizon VR trailer shown. Available at PS5 VR2 launch on February 22, 2023.
  9. Post Traumaworld premiere trailer. Coming to PC and consoles.

  21. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor World Premiere trailer. Exciting gameplay shown. Release date is March 17, 2023. The main character’s actor comes on stage to tell us it’s the best Star Wars game ver and “May the force be with you!”
  22. Earthblade World Premiere trailer. From the indie creators of Celeste. 2D action-platformer. Coming in 2024. Finally a game that’s not coming out in February 2023. 😛
  23. Dune: Awakening trailer shown of the Open world survival MMO game. You can sign up for the beta now.
  24. Forspoken gameplay trailer shown. I know people don’t like this game’s dialog, but the action-packed gameplay looks really exciting. Demo available now on the PlayStation Store. PS5 console-exclusive title.
  25. Genshin Impact: Year 3 trailer shows new character Yaoyao.
  26. Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2 World Premiere debut trailer shown!! Powered by the Decima Engine, so it looks like another PS5 console-exclusive that may come to PC at a later date. Baby’s everywhere.
  27. Immortals of Eveum debut trailer shown. It’s a single player magic shooter announced by EA Originals new studio by veteran developers. Coming 2023.
  28. Tekken 8 World Premiere of the gameplay trailer. “Fist Meets Fate”.
  29. Nightingale debut gameplay trailer shown. Takes place in 1889. Looks like you are a Realmwalker who travels to distant worlds through a Stargate-like portal. “Your parth forwards is winding and full of terrors”. Amazing the variety of friends and foes you encounter throughout the worlds. Looks very interest.
  30. Collosal Cave coming January 2023. 2D Adventure game legends Ken & Roberta Williams are back to making games thanks to Corona boring them.
  31. Baldur’s Gate III trailer shown from Larian Studios. Coming August 2023.
  32. Joe Mad’s Wayfinder. Character-based online action-RPG online title. “We control the chaos to reforge our broken world.” Adventure with friends. Explore and collect. Play it next week on PC Steam and PS4 & PS5.
  33. Fire Emblem Engage – Expansion Pass trailer shown. Continue your journey with DLC Waves 1-4 next year.
  34. Jenova Chen’s Sky trailer shows a concert that brings thousands of players together at the same time. Aurora’s free concert tonight in Sky for free after The Game Awards 2022 on PS4, PS5, Switch and Mobile iOS. Note: He’s known for Thatgamecompany’s Flow, Flower & Journey.
  35. Halsey sing’s Diablo IV’s “Lilith” song during an interlude. Followed by a Diablo IV trailer. Release date is June 6, 2023. Pre-order for early access.
  36. Most Anticipated Game this year is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Which got the loudest cheers among the nominees.
  37. Horizon 2: Forbidden West – Burning Shores DLC World Premiere trailer. Release date is April 19, 2023.
  38. Blue Protocol World Premiere. Announced by Bandai Namco Online and Amazon Games. Cel-shaded MMO action-RPG sci-fi fantasy game coming to PC Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X in 2023. “Rewrite the future. Your future needs you.”
  39. Remnant World Premiere. PC Steam game.
  40. Transformers: Reactive announced by Splash Damage. PlayTFR.com
  41. Company of Heroes 3: Console Edition trailer shows it’s coming in 2023.
  42. Behemoth trailer. Game by Skydance Interactive. VR game coming to Meta Quest exclusively.
  43. Fall Guys announces a new Holiday event with free costumes from December 13th for a month.
  44. The Super Mario Bros. Movie gets a 3rd trailer. The Toad voice actor Keenan confirms Toad wears a hat, or a cap, or hat. Listed to the Super Mario Bros. game’s remixed background music, so nostalgic! Theater movie release on April 7, 2023.
  45. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. From Don’t Nod Entertainment and another studio. A ghost accompanies you on your story-driven action-adventure.
  46. Warhammer 4K: Space Marine II trailer shown. Coming 2023.
  47. Meet Your Maker debut trailer shown. “Build, Raid, Upgrade.” Release date is April 4, 2023.
  48. Blood Bowl III trailer shown. The orcs sports game is back.
  49. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gets free new content update inspired by the Netflix show on December 14th. The Witcher is also added to Fortnite this season.

  55. Final Fantasy XVI World Premiere is the latest trailer called “Revenge”. Does the lead character control its Summon or does it control him. Square Enix says the really final release date is June 22, 2023 as PS5 console-exclusive. “Fate is written in fire.”
