In the SILENT HILL Transmission livestream, Konami has finally officially revealed the SILENT HILL 2 Remake as the first of many game, interactive & movie projects that will bring the SILENT HILL series to fans for many years to come! Here’s a list of what was announced…
- SILENT HILL 2 – Developed by Bloober Team in collaboration with Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito (PlayStation 5 and PC STEAM)
- SILENT HILL: Townfall – Co-produced with Annapurna Interactive and No Code (Platforms TBC)
- SILENT HILL f – A completely new story set in 1960’s Japan (Platforms TBC)
- SILENT HILL: Ascension – a new Interactive streaming series where the entire community shapes the canon of SILENT HILL. Available 24/7 in 2023
- “Return to SILENT HILL” movie project directed by Christophe Gans
In your restless dreams, do you see that town? Konami Digital Entertainment has announced the remake of SILENT HILL 2, the psychological horror game originally released in 2001 will be coming to PlayStation 5 (console exclusive) and PC (via STEAM). Developed by Bloober Team, composer Akira Yamaoka and artist Masahiro Ito, the unsettling town shrouded in the brooding fog will be remade with enhanced visuals, sounds and gameplay.

The SILENT HILL 2 remake revisits main protagonist James Sunderland and his search for clues in the namesake town, after receiving a mysterious letter from his wife Mary… who has long been dead. Experience the eerie monsters and other manifestations of James’ consciousness reworked after 20 years using state-of-the-art technology to play on modern entertainment systems in 4K.

SILENT HILL: Townfall, is a co-production with renown publisher Annapurna Interactive (Stray, Outer Wilds, Neon White) and multiple BAFTA award-winning independent developer No Code Studios (Stories Untold, Observation). This partnership represents how incredible studios and creatives around the globe will offer a new perspective on the iconic Silent Hill franchise. SILENT HILL f – will be a completely new story set in 1960’s Japan featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world. Written by Ry?kishi07, famed for Japanese visual novels dealing with murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror.

SILENT HILL: Ascension will immerse participants around the globe in the psychological horror at the heart of SILENT HILL in a unique way – by putting an all-new SILENT HILL story and characters into the hands of the audience as the narrative unfolds, live on multiple platforms.
SILENT HILL: Ascension is a collaboration between Genvid Entertainment, Bad Robot Games, Behaviour Interactive and dj2 Entertainment.

Christophe Gans, horror-film director and producer known for his work on Beauty and the Beast (2014) and the original SILENT HILL (2006) motion picture will be charged with a new movie adaption in the franchise, “Return to SILENT HILL.” More information on these projects will be revealed at a later date.
