The Dragon’s Dogma series consists of action games in a fantasy setting where players adventure in an expansive open world of swords and magic. Since the release of the first game on home video game consoles in 2012, the series garnered praise worldwide for the high degree of freedom provided by its action as well as social features that allowed players to swap their companions online, leading the series to over 6.2 million units shipped cumulatively (as of March 31, 2022). Celebrating its 10th anniversary in May 2022, over the years the series has continued to gather the support of fans through ongoing broad outreach beyond games, including with the original animated series Dragon’s Dogma that streamed worldwide exclusively on Netflix in 2020.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the latest title in the series, and the first mainline entry since the first Dragon’s Dogma was released in 2012. The game is currently in production, and with a development environment that leverages Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE (as seen in Resident Evil 7, 8 & 4 Remake) it is sure to satisfy both newcomers as well as long-time fans. Details regarding the game’s content and release date will be shared at a later date.

It’s likely to come to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One & Xbox Series X.
