Well, It Takes Two won GOTY, I still need to finish playing it in co-op as it’s free with Xbox Game Pass. It should be said that generally the people watching mostly felt the vote should’ve gone to Resident Evil 8: Village or if you’re a Nintendo fan to Metroid Dread. My Player’s Voice vote went to Halo Infinite. How about you?

The Game Awards 2021 New Game Announcements List

Amazing how many world premieres were included in the 3-hours-long show. It’s been more exciting to watch then the full week of E3 2021 reveals, but then again 2021 has been a little bit of a quiet year.

Exciting surprise announcements were:

  1. King of Fighters XV debut trailer shown. Beta coming soon. February 17, 2022 release date.
  2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre multiplayer horror game based on the movie announced.
  3. Homeworld 3 debut trailer shown. Coming Q4 2022 to PC.
  4. The Expanse: A Telltale Game debut trailer shown. Developer Telltale Games is back! All aboard The Artemis spaceship.
  5. Babylon’s Fall trailer. Coming March 3, 2022 from Platinum Games and Square Enix.
  6. Chivalry II: House Galencourt Update debut trailer shown. Introduces Two Maps, Arena Mode & Arrow Cam.
  7. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion debut trailer shown. Coming Summer 2022 with 3 new amiibo.

  14. Lost Ark new trailer shown it’s free to play from February 11, 2022 by Amazon Games.
  15. Wonder Woman video game world premiere trailer shown. Monolith developing for DC.
  16. Alan Wake II debut trailer shown, after fans have been waiting 10 years for a sequel. Coming in 2023 to Xbox Series X|S, PS5 (and PC I think). Survival-horror.
  17. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie debut trailer shown. Ben Shwarz (Sonic) and Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnic) hilariously introduce it. Loved the first movie! Release on April 8, 2022.
  18. Horizon II: Forbidden West gets a new gameplay trailer. “Rise above our ruin”.
  19. Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade PC trailer shown! Coming December 16, 2021. No Part 2 announcement sadly.
  20. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen debut trailer shown, all footage is from the first mission. Release date is February 22, 2022. Celebrating Bungie’s 30th Anniversary. “Take back the light”.
