Warner Bros. Games Montreal seems to be teasing the upcoming announcement of a new Batman game.
In its first Twitter post since July 2015 on September 22, Warner Bros. Games Montreal posted a video celebrating the 80th anniversary of Batman. The video shows the Bat signal, repeatedly interrupted with flashes of cryptic, unknown symbols:
And today, the developer posted another video with the text, “Capture the Knight,” showing a clear view of all four symbols:
Additionally, Scott Snyder, the creator of the Court of Owls storyline in the Batman comics, retweeted the initial tweet from Warner Bros. Games Montreal with the text, “Wait for it… #BewareTheCourtofOwls.” That retweet has since been deleted, but not before a screenshot was saved.
Sony Interactive Entertainment will host a State of Play broadcast on September 24, during which “new game reveals” has been teased. If a new Batman game is about to be announced, it is possible it will happen during the broadcast.
