IGN has received a mysterious package containing a purple egg and a purple card reading, “Something’s about to hatch,” signed by “Falcon McBob.”
Falcon McBob is the name tied to the @SpyroTheDragon Twitter account, which is currently unverified and whose tweets are protected. The account was created in February.
A rumor surfaced back in February suggesting a remaster of the Spyro the Dragon trilogy (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon) is in the works for PlayStation 4 and due out in Q3 2018. An announcement was reportedly planned for March, but March has come and gone.
