Sonic Mania Chaos Emeralds Locations Guide

Welcome to the Sonic Mania Chaos Emeralds locations guide that helps you find the total of 7 Chaos Emeralds locations in the PS4, Xbox One, Switch & PC side-scrolling platformer game.

Finding all 7 Chaos Emerald locations and picking them up will help unlock the following Achievement / Trophy:
* “Magnificent Seven” (Gamerscore / Silver Trophy) — Collect all seven Chaos Emeralds.

The Timeline for all these in-game Chaos Emeralds locations is listed below.

Sonic Mania Chaos Emeralds

You can get the “Super Saiyan-like” Super State for Sonic, Tails or Knuckles, once you collect all seven Chaos Emeralds while playing with any of those three characters in Sonic Mania! Activate it afterwards by jumping twice in a row. It makes you invincible, jump higher, and move faster.

Tip: Your progress carries over after you finish the game, and you can continue to collect Chaos Emeralds when you play through the game again on the same save file.

Important Note: There is no specific location where you must find each individual colored Chaos Emerald. Instead, you’ll be given 13 — or 22 if every stage has one! — chances to complete the 7 individual Chaos Emerald stages. The Timeline below lists all the Special Stage entry locations (indicated by a huge Gold Ring) that each give you a chance to get the next Chaos Emerald.

A trick (only tested on the 2nd playthrough) is to restart a stage to enter the same Special Stage again to get the next Chaos Emerald until you have them all.

Where to find all Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Mania? The in-game collectibles locations for the Chaos Emeralds are described in this detailed video guide.
