Microsoft today released the launch trailer for Halo Wars 2.

It’s a pretty intense and cinematic trailer, setting up the story for the RTS sequel and introducing the key characters, including the evil Atriox. Check it out in the video embed above.
Xbox marketing boss Aaron Greenberg said on Twitter that there are “lots of surprises” for Halo Wars 2 lineup for this week, so this trailer might be just the start. He added this hashtag to the tweet: “#HaloWars2HypeTrainBoardingNow”
In other Halo Wars 2 news, Microsoft has released an infographic that reveals the most popular leader from the recent beta and a lot of other statistics.
Halo Wars 2 launches in full on February 21 for Xbox One and PC, though people who buy the $80 Ultimate Edition can start playing on February 17. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so buying it digitally on one platform gets you access to the other for free. All progress, including saves and achievements, is available on each platform.
