The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 PS4 Pro and Mod Support Announced

Mod support is coming to PlayStation 4 for both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4, Bethesda Softworks announced. The news comes following the company saying last month that Sony wouldn’t allow the type of mods it wanted to include—“where users can do anything they want.”

Mod support will come first to Skyrim, and allow users to modify and create their own content using Bethesda’s Creation Kit. You will not be able to upload external assets, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game. By creating a Bethesda.net account, you’ll be able to browse and try mods from right within the game.

Additionally, both Skyrim and Fallout 4 will support PlayStation 4 Pro. Skyrim will render at native 4K on the upgraded platform, while Fallout 4 will also render at 4K along with enhanced lighting and graphics features.

Skyrim will have PlayStation 4 Pro support right out of the box. Fallout 4 will be updated with mod and PlayStation 4 Pro support after work is complete on Skyrim.
