How to find missing Dead Ghosts?: In-game the Dead Ghosts will appear similar to your floating robot buddy Ghost, except lying still on the ground with their blue visor light still glowing. Their colors can vary from bright white and orange to completely black. You can pick up to collect it when you stand next to it. It can be confirmed as being Dead Ghosts simply by getting near it, as the on-screen text will then tell you can press and hold the Square button to “Awaken Dead Ghost” on PlayStation or the X button to “Revive Dead Ghost” on Xbox, to get the Ghost Fragment.

Bonus: Each revived dead ghost gives you a new story-telling Grimoire Card that also increase your Grimoire score by 5.

Tip: Fallen Ghosts can be picked up in free roam on ANY mission, such as Story Missions or free roam Patrol & Explore Missions.

Does the game save each Dead Ghosts you collect?: Yes, the game will automatically save the Dead Ghosts you just collected if you picked up the Dead Ghost, so you don’t have to play to the end of the mission. But it’s still recommended you do so to save your collectibles progress in case of an online server disconnect. – Once collected, these Dead Ghosts cannot be picked up again.

Where to find all Dead Ghosts in Destiny: Rise of Iron AKA Destiny 2.4.0? A new Dead Ghost has been placed on every single Crucible map in the game and are available through Private Matches (via the Control game type).

• [0:32] — Dead Ghost Location #1: Ghost Fragment: The Anomaly – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found behind the boxes near C spawn.

• [0:55] — Dead Ghost Location #2: Ghost Fragment: Asylum – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found in the back corner of C spawn.

• [1:16] — Dead Ghost Location #3: Ghost Fragment: Bannerfall – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found in the room near C spawn, the bridge connecting to the point – left of map if looking out to the ledge.

• [1:41] — Dead Ghost Location #4: Ghost Fragment: Bastion – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found in the open outside area, look for the rock on the left of the tunnel that loops around.

• [7:37] — Dead Ghost Location #21: Ghost Fragment: Shores of Time – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found on the river side entrance to the cave where everyone is sniped, between a box and the wall.

• [7:56] — Dead Ghost Location #22: Ghost Fragment: Skyshock – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found where you see the plane broken in half that’s located by the shore, it’s in the middle on the tail-end side in a bush.

• [8:19] — Dead Ghost Location #23: Ghost Fragment: Thieves’ Den – Available in the PVP Map. Can be found behind the A cap point on the pile of gold blocks.

New Story Mission Dead Ghosts:

• [0:07] — Dead Ghost Location #28: Ghost Fragment: The Dark Age 3 – Available in the new PVE Area. Can be found at Felwinter Peak social zone. Right next to the main fire pit in the middle.

• [0:27] — Dead Ghost Location #29: Ghost Fragment: Mysterious 3 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found in the second story mission “The Walls Come Down”. At the start of the mission head slightly to the right towards the ketch. In a car just before the ketch, the Dead Ghost is sitting inside.

• [1:00] — Dead Ghost Location #30: Ghost Fragment: Old Russia 4 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found on the second story mission “The Walls Come Down”. Progress through the mission until you reach The Divide. Once here, jump up ontop of the building in front to the left, and then jump up onto the light / post next to it on the left. The Dead Ghost is sitting on there.

• [1:33] — Dead Ghost Location #31: Ghost Fragment: Fallen 5 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found on the second story mission “The Walls Come Down” or third story mission “The Plaguelands”. Get to the point where you need to enter the hole in the wall in the Rocketyard. Before entering, above you should be a hanging platform. The Dead Ghost is on this platform.

• [1:58] — Dead Ghost Location #32: Ghost Fragment: Ghosts 2 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found in the third story mission “The Plaguelands”. Once you progress through the mission and pass through Lord’s Watch, you will then reach Bunker Triglav and you need to destroy the shield generators. Once you enter the room with the shield generators, head immediately to your right. The Dead Ghost can be found sitting on a pipe hanging on the wall.

• [2:27] — Dead Ghost Location #33: Ghost Fragment: Clovis Bray 2 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found in the fourth story mission “Download Complete” on Mars. Progress until you drop down the elevator, and the Dead Ghost can be found in the room behind the pillar on the right with monitors on it.

• [2:53] — Dead Ghost Location #34: Legends and Mysteries: Rezyl Azzir – Available in the new PVE Patrol Mission. Can be found on the “Plaguelands” Patrol. Head over to The Archon’s Keep from the Giant’s Husk / Doomed Sea side. Once you reach The Archon’s Keep, head immediately left down the path that leads you to water. Once you’re at the water, over the ledge to the left is a well hidden cave that contains the Dead Ghost.
Note: This Dead Ghost shows up in-game as “Rezyl Azzir: The Whisper and the Bone”, but gives you the “Legends and Mysteries: Rezyl Azzir” Grimoire entry.

• [3:26] — Dead Ghost Location #35: Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 6 – Available in the new PVE Story Mission. Can be found on the fifth story mission “The Iron Tomb”. Progress through the mission until you reach the Site 6 zone and you take the massive drop down to the underground cave area. Once you progress a little forward and open up the large pathway to the final room of the mission, at the start of of the bridge the Dead Ghost is on the right.

New Crucible Map Dead Ghosts:

• [3:47] — Dead Ghost Location #36: Ghost Fragment: Floating Garden – Available in the new PVP Map. Can be found when you start on the ledge near B point. Turn towards the C down steps, and right after you’ll see small block/pillar with ghost.

• [4:08] — Dead Ghost Location #37: Ghost Fragment: Icarus – Available in the new PVP Map. Can be found right next to the pillar immediately on the C capture point.

• [4:43] — Dead Ghost Location #38: Ghost Fragment: Last Exit – Available in the new PVP Map. Can be found when you start on the C point and go through the train car on the left if you’re facing towards A. Keep going in that direction until you reach the second train car, and turn left instead of going in. Around the corner on the left is the Dead Ghost.

• [5:13] — Dead Ghost Location #39: Ghost Fragment: Skyline – Available in the new PVP Map. Can be found when you start at point C facing towards zone B. Turn left and go to the railing, hop over it and there will be some steps to the right. Under these steps is the Dead Ghost.
