FIFA 13 was announced officially at the Gamescom 2011 Trade Show in Cologne, Germany, where Electronic Arts and EA Sports revealed the game ahead of any details on the title.
Although nothing about the follow-up to the yet-to-be-released FIFA 12 was given, they did reveal that FIFA 13 will be the first FIFA game in the series to be compatible with the PlayStation Move Motion Controller system for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
So that confirms that there will be a PS3 version, but that was kind of inevitable. What will be interesting is to see if FIFA 13 will also hit Wii U. FIFA 12 is not scheduled for Wii U release (yet), so it may be that the Wii U passes the current FIFA and goes straight to next-year’s game.
And that’s all she wrote. For now.
Here is a fun video that shows the history of FIFA Sport Soccer/Football videogames!
