How to unlock all Battleborn characters? That question will be answered in this guide that shows you who to unlock to get the full roster of 30 Battleborn characters and how to achieve that in the PC, PS4 & Xbox One FPS-MOBA game.

Below we’ve listed the playable characters, starters followed by the unlockable characters. Take the following steps to unlock each of them, so that all unlockable characters in the game will be available to you.

How To Unlock All Battleborn Characters

At launch 18 of the available 25 characters are unlockable in-game, they will become available by meeting certain in-game requirements, as explained in the list below.

DLC Note: There will be 5 more DLC characters made instantly available as part of the Season Pass, making the announced total character count 30.

Tip: You don’t start off with everybody, but as you play you can unlock characters.

Battleborn Unlockable Characters

How to unlock additional characters?: As you can tell, when you start the game not all characters are available to choose from in the roster. You can unlock more by taking certain steps, as explained below for each character.

Here we’ve listed the secret characters in unlocking order.
Take the following steps to unlock each one; where available.

7 Starter Characters

These are the seven Hero characters you can play with at your initial startup of Battleborn.

How To Unlock The 18 Remaining Characters

These are the 18 unlockable Hero characters, organized from easiest to hardest to unlock.

There are basically only two methods for unlocking each character:
• A) Level up your Command Rank. — By playing the game normally, you’ll unlock a new character every two Command Ranks. (The Command Rank level is indicated for each Hero below.)
• B) Complete a challenge with a specific objective. — By achieving the character-specific challenge, you unlock the character. (Challenge types are listed for each Hero below.)

8. Shayne & Aurox

Unlock Method #1: Reach Command Rank 6.
Unlock Method #2: Complete this Challenge: Complete 5 co-op missions or matches with at least one player.

9. Reyna

Unlock Method #1: Reach Command Rank 8.
Unlock Method #2: Complete this Challenge: Get 50 assists in Versus matches.

10. Benedict

Unlock Method #1: Reach Command Rank 10.
Unlock Method #2: Complete this Challenge: Win 5 matches as a United Peacekeeping Republics faction character.

11. Galilea

Unlock Method #1: Reach Command Rank 12.
Unlock Method #2: Complete this Challenge: Kill 800 minions of any type.

How To Unlock The DLC Characters

You’ll need to buy the $20 Battleborn Season Pass to get all five Battleborn DLC packs that include five keys to unlock Heroes #26-30 once they are released! Each DLC pack includes a brand new Story Mode Operation, one Hero key, and additional unlockable skins and taunts.

Future Updates: New Battleborn content doesn’t end there! 2K Games and Gearbox plan to support Battleborn post-launch with free content updates that include five new playable heroes, bringing the total roster to 30, and additional competitive multiplayer modes, maps, balance updates and community features.

Price: Season Pass is $19.99 USD for all five DLC packs, saving $4.95 if DLC packs are purchased separately.
