Amiibo Cheats: How To Unlock The Black & Retro Arwings

You can scan either the Fox or Falco amiibo during the Stage Selection screen to unlock new vehicles for your squad.

• How To Unlock The Classic Polygon Star Fox Ship: Scanning a Fox amiibo swaps Fox and his teammates over to Retro Arwings, fun throwback models based on the original Arwing featured on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES Super FX-rendered 3D polygon graphics FTW!). There are more cool things that happen when using the Retro Arwing, but you’ll have to find those out for yourself! Sadly to be faithful to the original game, this Retro Arwing has no charge shot either.

• How To Unlock A More Powerful Black Star Fox Ship: Scanning a Falco amiibo swaps Fox over to the Black Arwing. This sleek starship has increased speed & firepower and can lock on to two targets at once, but receives more damage than the normal Arwing when hit.

Special Arwings Unlock Method #2: Both vehicles are also unlockable through normal game progression after you collect all 70 Medals in the story missions.

Note: Similarly, in Star Fox Guard you can call in devastating air strikes by using the Fox or Falco amiibo to make short work of your enemies.

How To Unlock Arcade Mode

• How To Unlock The Arcade Mode: Complete the main game to unlock the Arcade Mode in the Main Menu. In this new mode you start with one life and you play one route without a map overview.

How To Unlock The Star Fox Zero Soundtrack

• How To Unlock The Game’s Full Soundtrack: Complete the Arcade Mode to unlock the Sound Test in the Main Menu. In this menu you can enjoy the complete soundtrack of Star Fox Zero.

How To Unlock All Challenges

• How To Unlock All Challenges In The Game: Collect enough gold medals in story missions to unlock additional Challenge Missions. You need 5 medals total for the Walker, 15 medals total for the Gyrowing, 30 medals total for the Landmaster, and finally 50 medals total for Roadmaster Mission #2.

How To Unlock The Roadmaster Vehicle

• How To Unlock The Secret Roadmaster Vehicle: Unlock this armoured scouting ATV in the Training Mode as you progress through the game. Note that this secret vehicle can only be played in Training Mode.
