Rainbow Six Siege DLC Release Dates

Ubisoft has confirmed the Rainbow Six Siege DLC Release Dates, for the first DLC Pack titled “Operation Black Ice” the date has been delayed from January 12th to February 2nd, 2016 for Season Pass holders (also comes with the game’s Gold Edition); who get 7 days early-access because they paid for it, but everything will be available for free for everyone a week later. – The rest of the four DLC Packs (called content “seasons”) will launch spread out across the entire year. But since they are still in development no dates for their releases have been finalized beyond that they will launch at the start of each quarter, as listed here-under.

Here’s the list of tentative DLC release dates on all platforms for each DLC Season:
DLC Pack #1 Release Date: Tuesday, February 2nd 2016.
DLC Pack #2 Release Date: April 2016.
DLC Pack #3 Release Date: July 2016.
DLC Pack #4 Release Date: October 2016.

As you can see from the top image and the overview list, Operation Black Ice is the first content pack. Operation Black Ice introduces two new operators from the JTF2 (Canadian Joint Task Force 2 counter-terrorism unit), a new map and more. All users will have free access to the map and operators, but Season Pass holders will have the seven-day early access.

The Rainbow Six Siege Season Pass includes:

• Seven-day exclusive early access to the eight new operators, which you can instantly add to your roster upon their release.
• Permanent 5% Renown boost that will allow you to unlock content quicker.
• The exclusive Season Pass Porter weapon skin.
• The Safari Bundle of five weapons skins (Tiger, Leopard, Gold, Snake and Zebra).
• Two extra daily Renown-earning challenges (giving you a total of five).
• 600 R6 Credits that can be used to purchase additional in-game content, like weapon skins.

New goodies like maps, modes and operators will be free for all players, but with the Season Pass, you’ll get your hands on some of this of this stuff a little earlier. You’ll also get access to some weapon skins and other bonuses.

Take a look at the DLC trailer for a full rundown of what the Season Pass has to offer.

The Season Pass is available as part of the Gold Edition of Rainbow Six Siege, or you can purchase it on its own for $29.99.

What to expect from Ubisoft’s post-launch support:

Rainbow Six Siege will be actively supported with regular gameplay balancing, tweaks, improvements to features, and detailed patch notes. Additionally, a dedicated team of about 80 people will continually listen to fan feedback, monitor gameplay statistics and ensure that the experience is the best it can be. Events and competitions are also in the works, as are four major content expansions for 2016 that include new maps, operators, modes and weapons that will be playable at no additional cost.

The team at Ubisoft Montreal made a commitment to the community to invest in Rainbow Six Siege for the long term. Part of that commitment is to keep the community as unified as possible; free maps, new modes, and gameplay-unlockable Operators all lead to a player-base that is not split by paid gameplay content releases. Watch and explore the drive behind the team’s commitment and how it helps Rainbow Six Siege engage its players in new and exciting ways long after its release.

The developers have pulled back the curtain on what’s ahead for 2016, including new content and support plans, in this behind-the-scenes trailer.
