Give Just Cause 3 A Big Performance Boost

During Just Cause 3’s launch period (and this may be permanent) the game has been experiencing slow performance of the game world. Which causes visible framerate issues when playing. This annoying slowdown is because each in-game action you do is tracked and sent to an online server that updates your Feats and Challenge scores on global online leaderboards.

How to fix this slowdown and get a big performance speed boost: Turn your game’s online notifications off, or you can even go as far as to set your entire game system to offline* by turning off Wi-Fi or unplugging the internet cable.
Many players have reported this has a positive impact on performance and can be “less annoying” overall.

*While it’s easy to turn consoles to Offline in the settings, on PC you’ll have to do the following to (temporarily) make Just Cause 3 go offline:
– Option A) Launch the game in offline mode through Steam.
– Option B)
1. Open Windows Firewall
2. Advanced Settings
3. Outbound Rules
4. Click “New Rule”
5. Click browse under program
5. Navigate to your steam folder and find your justcause3.exe
