Priced at $50, the Mega Man Legacy Collection: Collector’s Edition will be released for 3DS in both digital and hardcopy form on February 23rd, 2016; joining the already-released next-gen versions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC and including a Gold Mega Man Amiibo exclusive to the 3DS “Collector’s Edition” version!

It’s worth noting that the Collector’s Edition will only be available in hardcopy form, the digital version is the normal standard version which is priced at $30 in hardcopy form. But another post-script, all downloadable versions (in this case via the 3DS eShop) will only run you a paltry $15 bucks. Snazzy!
Mega Man Legacy Collection introduces gamers to the first six NES Mega Man games; this time with upgraded graphics and sounds; and all-new never-before-seen features. Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Mega Man Legacy Collection is another repacking of Mega Man game re-releases…. But who is truly, honestly gonna complain about more classic Mega Man?
While it’s great to be able to pick up the game’s peacemeal via digital services like Virtual Console, it’s also true that we haven’t seen a hardcopy Mega Man collection since two generations ago (Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the Original Xbox, GameCube & PS2), so now is the perfect time to release one… To make all these games relevant again, and playable on the current-generation of hardware, so they are easily available for the next decade or so.
I also really dig that Gold Mega Man…. Very cool! And having a collection like this on-the-go is absolutely perfect. Especially since it is NOT coming to PS Vita. So 3DS is your only option if you want to enjoy an upgraded version of all six NES Mega Man games in one package.
