Hyrule Warriors: Legends Release Date. Playable “Lady-Link” Linkle & Skull Kid Unveiled

Hyrule Warriors: Legends has a release date of March 25th, 2016 in America & Europe; and a day later in Australia (it will hit Japan on January 21st).

Hyrule Warriors: Legends brings the Wii U game to the 3DS alongside all-new playable characters, including: “Tetra”, “Toon Link” & “The King of Red Lions” from “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker“, “Skull Kid” from “Majora’s Mask” & introducing an all-new female Link character.

The “Lady Link” goes by the name of… *drum roll please* “Linkle”!

Linkle is the type of character that Nintendo fans have been dying to see! Although not quite literally a “Lady Link”, she is essentially an all-girl version of our favorite green-clad adventurer.

Lady Link, er… Linkle, comes equipped with dual crossbows (!) with which she can inflict pain on enemies coming at her from all directions!

Donning a green “cloak” (much like a hoodie), Linkle hails from a small rural village that raises gaggles of Cucco’s. You know, the iconic white chicken-like birds that punish YOU for punishing THEM in the Zelda games. Due to her upbringing and love of her cute lil avian friends, Linkle is thus chirpy & energetic in nature; a happy-go-lucky sort.

She will surely be a blast to play as!

And it’s absolutely awesome to see an all-new character get introduced to the Zelda mythos in Hyrule Warriors: Legends, particularly one of this oft-requested nature!

Tetra and the Hyrule Warriors Come to the Nintendo 3DS System
Cut down entire legions of enemies using over-the-top powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves as Hyrule Warriors comes to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. In the portable version, experience new story elements and playable characters from by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker game such as Tetra, King of Hyrule and more. Additional new features, such as the ability to switch between different characters on the fly, allow you to strategically position characters and defeat foes in all-new ways like never before.

It’s quite a treat to see Linkle, a female Link(!) finally brought to life! I love her design; and I think she will make a fantastic addition to Nintendo’s stable of incredible characters.

Hyrule Warriors: Legends looks like it will make a perfect fit in the 3DS line-up of action-packed Action Games, and seems to have made the transition from Wii U to 3DS quite beautifully.

While I don’t necessarily dig the name… It’s not that bad and I’m already getting used to it. It’s pretty fitting, all told.

Linkle is cute as a button!
