Part 1: Prologue & Vault 111

Welcome to the Fallout 4 walkthrough!

Scott will be your voice-over commentator showing you around the game’s areas.

Note: After the character creator, Vault-Tec comes a knocking and you start with 21 points that you can distribute into various stats, and 7 points that are already distributed, because each SPECIAL starts at 1. This will determine you character through the entirety of the game. You’ll actually have 28 distributed when you’re done assigning them.

Part 2: Exploring The Commonwealth Wasteland

Tip: Bobbleheads are hidden throughout the Commonwealth. They increase a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat or upgrade a perk. – Some Magazines add perks to your character, as well as new construction items to settlements.

Part 3: Lexington

Fast Travel Tip: When you discover a location’s name by visiting it, you can fast travel to it afterwards.

Savegame Protip: Use quicksave all the time, but also save manually (through the menu) twice an hour.

Part 4: Diamond City

Health Tip: Sleeping in beds regenerates your health. Sleeping in nice beds gives you the Well Rested perk for a limited time, which increases your XP gain by 10%.

Healing Tip: Use Cooking Station to prepare food that will heal you, increase your AP, damage, resistances and more for a while. The ingredients are free and most of them are pretty common like Molerat meat.

Part 5: Unlikely Valentine

Talking Tip: Some dialogue options are colored to indicate the chance of success depending on your charisma level (namely red, orange, yellow). Yellow is easy, orange is medium, and red is highly difficult.
