Lost Reavers Debut Gameplay Trailer (Wii U). Formerly Project Treasure

Lost Reavers is the final name of Namco’s “Project Treasure“, an upcoming Wii U-exclusive, digital-only, free-to-play online-multiplayer shooter. The game is being headed up by the producer of Tekken, Katsuhiro Harada, and developed & published by Namco Bandai; although the title was first announced during the January 2015 Nintendo Direct.

Check out the debut Japanese gameplay trailer for Lost Revears.

Lost Revears is a four-player cooperative action game where the goal is to work together with your teammates in order to “clear traps, rout enemies, and seize treasure” as you make your way through various stages.

Lost Reavers features the “Multi-View Action System”, wherein you’ll have to contend with Melee Attacks, First-Person perspective shifts & third-person perspective shifts (both a Resident Evil 4-style Over the Shoulder and a “trailing” viewpoints) at various sections of the levels.

There are four different characters to play as, including: Sayuri, Dwayne, Victoria, and ShadowStalker.

Each of the players will need to raid various rooms throughout the multi-room maps, in order to seize valued treasure, particularly “Relics”.

To hinder your progress will be waves on enemies, like mummies & zombies, and giant bosses who you will also have to defeat to proceed. You will need to defeat all of the enemies to clear rooms, along with solving puzzles and pushing around Relics.

When recovering said Relics, you’ll have to cooperate in order to keep enemies off the back of the player obtaining it.

Missions are over if all four players die, but if one players dies, they can revive the others. Missions are cleared when the Relics are pushed to a certain point of the map.

Lost Reavers looks like a fun title. Certainly if you are into multiplayer online games.

However it does not look like anything too special. Especially given that it is coming from the producer of Tekken.

Although maybe my viewpoint on that will change with more footage, and if the game gets more polish between now and release, which is likely to be late 2015 or early 2016.
