Finding all Monster Nest locations and destroying them will help unlock the following Achievements / Trophies:
* “Pest Control” (30 Gamerscore / Silver Trophy) — Destroy all monster nests in the Velen / Novigrad region, or in Skellige.
* “Fire in the Hole” (15 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Destroy 10 monster nests using bombs.
* Bonus: You receive 20 Experience Points for each Monster Nest you destroy.

How to find missing Monster Nest?: There are 5 total Monster Nests in Skellige. 4 of the Skellige Monster Nests are on the main island (Ard Skellig) and 1 on the northern island (An Skellig). — The below video guide for this area starts in the south and ends in the north. You must have bombs in your inventory to destroy the nests.

Tip: You can destroy Monster Nests with Grapeshot or Dancing Star bombs.

It’s recommended you do this on Skellige first, as it has the fewest monster nests, making it the quickest way to earn the “Pest Control” achievement / trophy.

Note: Velen & Novigrad together have over 20 more Monster Nests.

Does the game save each Monster Nest you collect?: No, you need to manually save after successfully completing these tasks.

Lots of Monster nest Items Tip: After you destroy a Monster Nest with some items you need, simply leave one item and walk away to come back a second later (or turn around until you don’t see the “Loot” cue anymore and then turn back to the nest) and all items in the Monster Nest will be restocked! You can keep doing this up to around 20 times.
