Story of Seasons Release Date Announced by Harvest Moon creators

Story of Seasons has a release date of March 31, 2015 in America exclusively for 3DS. Pre-Order the game at Amazon, GameStop & other participating retailers and you’ll snag a “rabbit pocket plushy of Angora”! This is the 19th game in the Harvest Moon franchise, as developed by Marvelous.

Publisher XSeeD Games lost the Harvest Moon name to previous publisher Natsume, prompting the name-change. Natsume released a new 3DS title in 2014 called “Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley” by a new developer that bombed, this game is the sequel to the last true Harvest Moon title, released on 3DS back in 2012, called “Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning”.

MD explains what’s going on with the two different Harvest Moon series existing at the same time.

This Nintendo Direct video gives you all the details on “Story of Seasons” from the original creators.

Break out the hoes, brush off the cows, and put on your best straw hat — there’s a bumper crop on the way!

“Pre-Order the game to get a rabbit pocket plushy of Angora!

There’s a new arrival on the farm! An adorable first-timer in the STORY OF SEASONS series. The Angora rabbit is a unique type of bunny bred particularly for its luxurious fur. Now, these fluffy friends make the journey from the game straight to you in this soft and squishable form! These cute little plush dolls stand roughly 2 and a half inches tall (not including the ears), can snuggle up comfortably in the palm of your hand, and make great travel-sized companions. Make sure to claim yours fast, though, as there’s only so much space down on the farm and quantities are limited!”

SYNOPSIS:

Story of Seasons is the beginning of a new chapter in the “Bokujo Monogatari” series, a long-standing and top-selling farming/life simulation franchise previously known as “Harvest Moon”. Though the series is reborn with a new name, it continues the well-loved traditions of customizable farms, animal care and relationship-building toward the goal of getting married and starting a family.

After creating a customized character, players can live out a new life by cultivating their favorite fruits and vegetables while expanding and filling their farm with their choice of animals.

Fans of past games in the series will love the many new additions on display here, including an enhanced variety of seeds, pets, and other ways to make their farms truly their own.

But the major addition is the new theme of “connectivity,” as trading with other countries will help grow the player’s crop variety and wallet, as well as the prosperity of the entire town.

Players can also connect locally via WiFi to visit one another’s farms and tend crops as a team, expanding both their harvests and their friendships.

Here is a trailer for Story of Seasons.
