It is here that you can view all the latest screencaps and artworks from Grim Fandango Remastered; some of these will also make great desktop wallpapers!

Synopsis:

Something’s rotten in the land of the dead, and you’re being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there’s trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.

One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango’s epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot’s Game of the Year award upon its original launch. Grim Fandango still stands as a classic of the genre, with unforgettable characters and unique combination of film noir and Mexican folklore.

Key Grim Fandango Remastered Features Include:

* Repainted, Hi-Res Character Textures

* New, Dynamic Lighting

* Classic Score Re-Recorded With A Full Live Orchestra

* Over 2 Hours of Exclusive Developer Commentary

I never got the chance to play games like Grim Fandango, since I was always a console gamer and not a PC gamer.

Ironically, I once went to a Thrift Store and spotted a PC copy of “Mortal Kombat 3“… I love MK3, so I bought it on the spot.

Unbeknownst to me, inside this used copy of MK3, was a PC copy of “Full Throttle”, another one of Tim Schafer’s masterpieces that I’ve heard much about.

I never got around to popping it in, and the disc was pretty scratched anyway, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about these classic PC Adventure Games.

Ferry is a huge fan himself.

One of these days I’ll definitely sit down and give it a try. I’m big on story, narrative & character development, which is why I love JRPGs like the Final Fantasy titles; and I love puzzles, which is why I love games like Resident Evil; so I’m pretty sure I’ll love many of these Adventure games whenever I give them a shot.

I’m very happy to see Grim Fandango, a game that’s so revered, get the full-on remake treatment, complete with an all-new symphony orchestra recording of the game’s score! That’s huge!

Hopefully it sells well and other classic Adventure Game remakes will follow in the near future! Buy it to ensure that happens!

Will you be playing this long-awaited Grim Fandango remake?!
