Priced at a whopping $400, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-In-A-Box Limited Collector’s Edition has been announced for Xbox One & PS4, releasing on March 24, 2015 (USA) & March 27, 2015 (EU) alongside the normal edition of the game.

So why the high cost? That’s because this version contains a real-life remote-controlled Claptrap! It is also a true LIMITED edition, as only 5,000 units of this beast will be made!

The Claptrap steward robot is controlled through a smartphone app and can move in all directions while balancing on one wheel via it’s internal gyroscope.
The Claptrap can also say lines in character and live stream video to a mobile device (iOS/Android) through his eye; allowing you to see exactly what he sees!
The Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition is limited to only 5,000 units worldwide and is available to pre-order starting today at participating retailers for $400.

That robot is too freakin’ cool, and I’m not even a fan of this series! Apparently the Borderlands: Handsome Collection – Claptrap-In-A-Box Collector’s Edition is already sold out… So good luck on getting your hands on this!
It’s crazy to think that a single game can cost as much as an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 these days when they release a Collector’s Edition….
Still this is definitely one that collector’s will want to keep their eyes on and add to their videogame collections!
