Far Cry 4 Rare Animals
As you explore Kyrat in Far Cry 4, you’ll encounter these normal animals: Elephant, Yak, Rhino, Macaque, Honey Badger, Tiger, Wolf, Tibetan Wolf, Dhole, Bear, Wild Boar, Wild Pig, Deer, Bharal, Demon Fish, Snow Leopard, Tapir, and Python.
These animal locations are all marked on this huge Kyrat map: (click on the image to enlarge)
To activate the search for rare animals you’ll need to:
– Step 1: First liberate the “Kyra Tea Weigh Station” Outpost (the second Outpost in the game’s story), located on your map at the coordinates X: 345.5, Y: 378.6. In and around the Outpost there are no obvious animals and it’s not well defended. It’s so easy overall, that you could definitely just storm in guns blazing, if that’s your playstyle. More tips for the best route to take through the Outpost, to take out all the enemy soldiers fast, are given in the video guide below.
– Step 2: Second, after that is done you’ll be asked to visit the House of Chiffon (now marked on your map). Go there to enable yourself to start hunting rare animals in “Kyrat Fashion Week” Quests*.
Mr. Chiffon is the man you’ll need to see if you want to start the rare crafting missions. He doesn’t directly offer them himself, but you’ll need to sit through his particular brand of insane before they appear as Waypoints (Current Objective) on the map.
*Rare animals can be found during “Kyrat Fashion Week” Quests. To play these Rare Hunting Missions you need to liberate Outposts first. The spawn area of the animals will be shown during the Quests. Once you’ve done the first Quest Mr. Chiffon gives you after his introduction, lots more “Kyrat Fashion Week” Quests will pop up in cleared Outposts. Just look for that heart symbol / emblem on your map, those will be the relevant Quests every time.
Hunt and skin a unique and dangerous animal for Mumu Chiffon in these “Kyrat Fashion Week” Quests. Which award you with XP and money (Rupees), as well as a rare skin each time which you can use to craft a powerful upgrade.
Tip: For each Quest to be a success, these rare animals have to be hunted with a certain type of weapon. Note that as long as it’s the same weapon type you don’t necessarily have to use the exact weapon they leave for you at the drop point; Most missions do have different weapon requirements. – And after the kill, don’t forget to skin the rare animals to get special items.
Protip #1: Use a Hunting Syringe to detect the nearby animals. You’ll even see them through walls.
Protip #2: Use a Survival Syringe at around level 2, so each vicious rare animal’s melee attacks do no harm to you when you face them in a battle to the death!
Black Water Dragon Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #1: Black Water Dragon can be started by liberating the “Kyra Tea Weigh Station” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 345.3, Y: 380.4.
World Map Location Coordinates: X: 325.4, Y: 384.5
Hunt Requirement: Use explosives — like those from firing the M-79 Grenade Launcher you’re given — to secure the skin of Black Water Dragon, the rare demon fish, for Mr. Chiffon’s garment.
Rewards: Black Water Dragon’s Skin, 350 Experience Points (XP), and 18,000 Rupees money. Skin the Black Water Dragon to craft the final Throwables Bag.

Tenzin Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #2: Tenzin can be started by liberating the “Kyra Tea Terraces” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 392.5, Y: 329.3.
World Map Location Coordinates: X: 430.9, Y: 342.9
Hunt Requirement: Use normal arrows or bolts to obtain the skin of the rare dhole, Tenzin, for Mr. Chiffon’s garment.
Rewards: Tenzin’s Skin, 350 Experience Points (XP), and 18,000 Rupees money. Skin the Tenzin for the ingredient you need to craft the final Quiver upgrade.

Karkadann Location Guide

Hunt Requirement: Use a shotgun — like the 1887 shotgun — to secure the skin of Karkadann, the rare rhino, for Mr. Chiffon.
Rewards: Karkadann’s Skin, 350 Experience Points (XP), and 18,000 Rupees money. Skin Karkadann to craft the final Heavy Ammo Bag.

Gulo Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #4: Gulo can be started by liberating the “Pranjiagat School” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 349.2, Y: 625.0.
World Map Location Coordinates: X: 344.1, Y: 643.1
Hunt Requirement: Use a light machine gun (LMG) to get out there and kill Gulo, the rare honey badger for Mr. Chiffon.
Rewards: Gulo’s Skin, 450 Experience Points (XP), and 27,000 Rupees money. Skin Gulo to craft the final Bait Bag.

Sky Tiger Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #5: Sky Tiger can be started by liberating the “Barnali’s Textiles” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 445.6, Y: 686.9.
World Map Location Coordinates: X: 424.8, Y: 702.1
Hunt Requirement: Use an assault rifle. Carefully poach the beautiful white Bengal coat of Sky Tiger, the rare tiger, for Mr. Chiffon.
Rewards: Sky Tiger’s Skin, 500 Experience Points (XP), and 31,500 Rupees money. Skin the Sky Tiger to craft the final Syringe Kit.

Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #6: Shadow Leopard can be started by liberating the “Keo Logging Camp” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 421.3, Y: 757.8.

Hunt Requirement: Use an assault rifle to hunt Shadow Leopard, the rare brown snow leopard, for Mr. Chiffon’s garment. This is no Housewives of Dhani Desa.

Mad Devil Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #7: Mad Devil can be started by liberating the “Keo Gold Storage” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 438.2, Y: 816.0.

Hunt Requirement: Use normal arrows or bolts to take down the rare beast Mad Devil, the leader of the wolf pack and present its sleek black coat with white stripes to Mr. Chiffon. Be the alpha.
Rewards: Mad Devil’s Skin, 350 Experience Points (XP), and 36,550 Rupees money. Skin the Mad Devil to get the ingredient to craft the final Wallet upgrade.

Ghost Bear Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #8: Ghost Bear can be started by liberating the “Keo Pradhana Mine” Outpost. If you haven’t done that yet, it can be found at these coordinates: X: 692.5, Y: 626.3.
World Map Location Coordinates: X: 698.5, Y: 662.5
Hunt Requirement: Use a shotgun to hunt for the skin of Ghost Bear, the rare demon bear, for Mr. Chiffon’s garment. Bring out the real you by obtaining this skin. Its skin actually makes the bear kind of look like a panda with that white fur on the head.
Rewards: Ghost Bear’s Skin, 350 Experience Points (XP), and 36,550 Rupees money. Skin the Ghost Bear to craft the final Loot Bag.

Thick Skin Location Guide
Quest Name: The Kyrat Fashion Week Quest #9: Thick Skin can be started by liberating the “Rajgad Gulag” Fortress. You do this by finishing the last Mission and completing the game. If you haven’t done that yet, Pagan Min’s Fortress can be found at these coordinates: X: 811.2, Y: 787.0.

Hunt Requirement: Use a fire weapon — you’ll be given a Flamethrower — to secure the skin of Thick Skin, the rare elephant, for Mr. Chiffon.
Rewards: Thick Skin’s Skin, 650 Experience Points (XP), and 45,000 Rupees money. Skin the Thick Skin to craft the final Explosives Bag.

After you’ve settled your bloodlust and killed all 9 rare animals, return to Mr. Chiffon at the coordinates X: 324.3, Y: 379.6 to attend the long-awaited Kyrat Fashion Week event.
