Find out in The Sims 4 how to fix blurry / grainy looking Sims. Here are the three solutions to improve the graphics of either your Sims, the game world itself or both.
SOLUTION #1: If the blurriness is limited to your Sims only, then it’s likely the default grainy textures of The Sims 4 are making your Sims look blurry. To get rid of it, take these steps:
• Step 1: Go to the “Game Options” menu and click on the “Graphics” tab if you’re not there already.
• Step 2: Select the box in the “Graphics” section that reads “Uncompressed Sim Textures”.
• Step 3: Next, look at the bottom-right of the “Game Options” menu and click on the “Apply Changes” button to save the change.
• Step 4: And finally, you’ll need to restart the game for the change to take effect.
SOLUTION #2: The Sims 4 is automatically set to run at ideal rendering quality, which may cause the game world to look low-quality blurry. However, some players with older computers or who play on laptops, may have lower power graphics hardware. Laptop Mode will put the game into a reduced rendering mode designed to run the game more efficiently for better frame rate and battery life. To turn on/off Laptop Mode:
• Step 1: Click the “…” icon in-game to go to the pause menu.
• Step 2: Click on the “Game Options” menu.
• Step 3: Select the box to check the option for “Laptop Mode”.
• Step 4: And finally, look at the bottom-right of the “Game Options” menu and click on the “Apply Changes” button to save the change. Then go back to playing the better-looking game.
SOLUTION #3: If you downloaded The Sims 4 illegally, the entire game world and all Sims in it will appear as a pixellated mess! So if everything on your screen looks like pixels — like the big pixel blurring censorship you see when a Sims takes a shower — then to fix this problem you should delete the illegal game from your computer, because it is an anti-piracy measure from EA Games that will not go away.
Instead, buy The Sims 4 legally from any store that sells games on disc or at the EA Games official online store on Origin.com for a quick download.
Remember, if you love Sims games, you should support the creators with your money so they can keep making more Sims games.
I hope this helped you out to get rid of any blurry or grainy graphics.
