DayZ is officially coming to PlayStation 4 (not Xbox One… yet) announced Sony, creator Dean “The Rocket” Hall and publisher Bohemia Interactive.

What’s interesting is that Behemia isn’t just porting DayZ over, but the changes they are making to bring the PlayStation 4 version over from the PC side, will effect the whole of DayZ, including the PC version.
This is why it has taken years to develop the PS4 version of DayZ, it has turned out to be a much larger project than anyone anticipated.
This includes completely overhauling the game’s graphic renderer, giving it a completely new base that will help to optimize performance not just on the console side, but the PC side as well.
No release date for DayZ was given, but you can probably expect it in 2015.
