Halo Channel Announced for Xbox One, Windows Phone, Windows 8.1. Expands on Halo Waypoint

Halo Channel was revealed at Gamescom 2014 for Xbox One, as the official successor to the Xbox 360 App Halo Waypoint.

One of the biggest parts of Halo Channel is a new partnership with Twitch, which allows fans to stream and view streams from Halo: The Master Chief Collection and directly integrates Twitch functionality into Halo Channel. This will make it much easier for fans to share their Halo experiences. Cool stuff!

Similar to Halo Waypoint, Halo Channel will offer fans tons of additional Halo content on a regular basis, including direct access to Halo Nightfall (even if you don’t own Master Chief Collection), community intel, a Halo Encyclopedia and the ability to share all of their Halo activities via various social networks.

One of the coolest aspects of the Halo Channel is that watching content and viewing content will reward you with in-game items in Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as well as unlocking Halo Channel specific rewards (just like in Halo Waypoint).

Halo Channel will be released on November 11, 2014 as an App for Xbox One, Windows Phone & Windows 8.1, hitting the same day as Master Chief Collection drops.
