RIME Announced for PS4. Sony’s Take on Zelda: Wind Waker Crossed With ICO

RIME is the title of one of Sony’s next AAA PS4-exclusive Indie Project by developer Tequila Works, who are developing what looks to be an absolutely stunning cross between The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and ICO… you couldn’t you ask for a greater mix!

Rime tells the story of a boy who must use his wits and ingenuity to survive, and ultimately escape from, a mysterious island and a terrible curse.

Key Rime Features:

Open World Gameplay – Free-form exploration allows you to explore the island, face its challenges and ultimately uncover its terrible secret.

Dynamic Puzzle Solving – You are integral to how puzzles are solved and with the help of a mysterious artifact you can manipulate the environment and even time itself.

Unique Control System – Tactile and original gameplay using the Dualshock 4 wireless controller. Sound, light and touch are all key to the Rime experience.

RIME looks absolutely fascinating. I love Action Adventure games, they are among my top genres, so when I saw that Sony was doing their take on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (he even rides a boat!) I was in awe! (And yes I know that Sony is simply the publisher. But they had the foresight to scoop this amazing Indie Project up and make it a PS4-exclusive.)

Absolutely gorgeous. Mysterious Woods anyone?

The next-generation power of the PlayStation 4 is able to offer stunning vistas and amazing visuals that make this game look absolutely captivating in motion!

I’ve yet to see if this game has any RPG elements or action like Zelda does, but either way, this world and the puzzle solving it contains (did you see the forest scene with all the symbols carved on the trees!) is going to be one heck of a joyride to explore.

And I can’t wait.
