Is Pacman In SSB4? Bandai Namco’s mascot character has been rumored since the very first SSB game. Super Smash Bros. 4’s roster for Wii U & 3DS has grown with three all-new fighters announced Nintendo at E3 2014! Additionally two oldies were also confirmed. This is a spoiler-free headline, so read below to find out exactly who has gotten the big reveal!

SSB4, as I like to call it, for Wii U and 3DS, is shaping up to be an absolutely awesome, amazing game. It takes what has been established in previous games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2009), Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube, 2001), and the original (N64, 1999), and amps the chaos and fun to the nth degree.

Some people however will be very disappointed by the fact that not a whole lot has changed between this new entry, which is coming this Holiday for Wii U and in October for 3DS, and the previous game in term of mechanics and gameplay.

But the old adage, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, certainly applies here. You are kind of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. If you change a character’s moves or Final Smashes (super moves), you upset those who miss the old traditional moves, and if you don’t change them you upset those who wanted to see something new!

Well at least new is coming (SPOILER TIME!), because Nintendo has introduced several all-new characters to the roster! Check it out!

* Pac-Man! (The first game character of all time from 1980 & co-developer Namco’s mascot!)
* Palutena! (The Lady Palutena, Pit’s Heavenly guide from Kid Icarus: Uprising! Goddess POWER!)
* Reggie/Miyamoto/Iwata/Abraham Lincoln/Ice T./Elijah Wood/AND YOU!!
*** Customizable Mii’s join the fight!
* Mr. Game & Watch RETURNS! (Retro love ftw! Both Pac-Man & Game & Watch debuted in 1980!)
* Sonic the Hedgehog RETURNS! (Sega’s Mascot, the Blue Blur, dashes into battle!)

Whoo-hooo!!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ The excitement!

Several new trailers were released to introduce these new brawlers, give them a look!

Two other characters were also hinted at in the trailer above at the end (or maybe it was just one… what’s the hair mean?)… who will they be?

There are still several characters from Brawl and/or Melee that have not been confirmed yet, such as Ness, Jigglypuff, Lucas, Mewtwo, Roy, Young Link, Dr. Mario, Pichu, etc.

I hope & PRAY that Jigglypuff does NOT get cut, she’s my favorite! But we’ll have to wait & see. Surely more new characters will also be revealed later on.

Although I trust Nintendo will keep several characters 100% under-wraps until the game comes out. They better! Surprise is literally half the fun!
