How to unlock Weapons Trade Investigations?: Several empty shipping crates have been left throughout the city. Each mysterious crate has crafted tools inside plus a discarded audio log nearby. Find all 9 crates to unlock a special mission and discover the mystery behind them.

Once you have hacked into the 13 ctOS Towers you can go after the Privacy Invasion side missions as their icons will appear on the world map.

How to find missing Shipping Crates?: There are 9 Illegal Weapons Shipping Crates to find in the Weapons Trade Investigation, the locations can be revealed on the map after you unlock every ctOS Tower. You then need to go to these locations and scan & open the crates. Each crate is found beyond a garage door and you need to find a power panel for each Shipping Crate. – Looking around the garage area surrounding most crates will reveal intercepted Audio Logs for you to listen to (it’s an Undercover story).

Once you have found all of the crates you will receive a call from Tobias Frewer and then need to complete the final mission.

What to do if you cannot find the 9th Crate?: The game may be hiding the 9th Crate from you by placing a Fixer Contract/Transporter on top of the icon marking the Crate on the world map. Look for it in the “Brandon Docks” District area below the island and above the gun shop icon. Make sure the progression wheel says whether you have 8 or 9 Crates, since just because you don’t see another Crate icon doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Alternatively, if you did confirm you have collected 9 Cratest and cannot get the final Weapons Trade Investigation mission to show up, then you may have to keep playing the story campaign missions further beyond the starting mission.

Note: You can view your total collected Shipping Crates in the Progression Wheel (access it by selecting up on the Directional-Pad). – Upon completion of the final mission you’ll receive a 1,000 XP reward!

Tip: None of the Weapons Trade Shipping Crates are missable and you can still get them in free roam after beating the story campaign.

Does the game save each Weapons Trade Shipping Crate you collect?: Yes, the game will automatically save the Weapons Trade Shipping Crates you just collected if you picked up the Weapons Trade Shipping Crate, so you don’t have to play to the end of the mission if you’re in one. After picking up each collectible you can safely quit the mission without losing collectibles progress.
