How to unlock all The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game costumes? That question will be answered in this The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game costumes guide that shows you which alternate outfits to unlock to get the full set of 19 alternate costumes; and how to achieve that in the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One & Wii U game.

You find 13 of the 19 unlockable costumes total (announced so far), by completing certain sections of the game’s main Story Mode. The 6 additional DLC outfits for Spider-Man can be obtained through pre-order bonuses and special retailer/online store offers, although they will likely all become available as paid DLC in the future.

How To Unlock All The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game Costumes

How To Change Costumes?: Go to Peter Parker’s room in Aunt May’s home (where you start the game or can get to via the open-world Metro) and walk up to his clothing closet until you get the “Examine Wardrobe” prompt, and you’ll be shown what costumes you can wear. At that point you can browse all the costumes you’ve unlocked in the game and select one to wear in-game.

Ironically, in the game Peter Parker doesn’t seem too worried about anyone finding out his secret identity, as both his room door and Spider-Man suits closet are wide open so anyone can walk right in and see them, haha!

Costume Stat Bonuses: Each of Spidey’s suits will have different stats and bonuses attached to it, allowing you to choose which one fits best with your play-style.

Fashionista Achievement / Trophy: After you unlock all suits in the game, you’ll receive the 20 Gamerscore Achievement / Bronze Trophy.

Unlockable Costumes (In-Game)

• How To Unlock The Amazing Spider-Man (2012 video game) Costume
Unlock Requirements: Available from the start of the game, as soon as you begin the Story Mode.

• How To Unlock The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Default) Costume
Unlock Requirements: Available from the start of the game, as soon as you begin the Story Mode.

• How To Unlock The Big Time Suit (Stealth Mode) Costume
Unlock Requirements: Becomes available after you complete 1 of the 5 Russian Hideouts. Each Hideout is has (a container with) a new suit for you to find. — The Hideouts will show up automatically after making some progress in the Story Mode. They are displayed on your map with a purple eye-symbol.

00:06 – Spider Armor Suit
01:25 – Spider-Man 2099 Suit
02:54 – Big Time Suit
03:48 – Scarlet Spider Suit

Unlock Requirements: Becomes available after you fully complete the game’s 14 Story Mode chapters to the end for the first time.

• How To Unlock The Flipside Costume
Unlock Requirements: Becomes available after you complete 1 of the 5 Russian Hideouts. Each Hideout is has (a container with) a new suit for you to find. — The Hideouts will show up automatically after making some progress in the Story Mode. They are displayed on your map with a purple eye-symbol.

• How To Unlock The Superior Spider-Man (from comic book issues #14-30) Costume
Unlock Requirements: Complete all 12 Combat Challenges. — Access these challenges from the arcade machine in Stan’s Comic Book Store, which is marked on your map with a blue book-symbol. You’ll need to complete a few Story Mode chapters before you can access the arcade machine, and you’ll need to play until late into the Story Mode before you can play all of the Combat Challenges.

How To Unlock: The 6th paid DLC costume is one we’ve never seen in a Spider-Man game before! – It’s been said by the game’s developer Beenox that this unknown Amazing Spider-Man 2 DLC suit will be a surprise and is thus yet to be announced.

This one and possibly more suits will become available as paid DLC content.
