Thief 2014 Trophies Guide

1. Man of Steal (Platinum) — The True Master Thief

2. Obsessive Compulsive (Bronze) — Steal all loot and collectibles in a single chapter

This video guide with voice-over tips shows where to find 100% of the Collectibles & Loot in Chapter 1: Lockdown. Here’s a timetable if you’re looking for something specific…
– [1:11] – Serendi Stone Circles – Amethyst Circle
– [6:00] – Client Loot – Jewelled Mask
– [7:55] – The Mortal Coils – Sootback Bracelet
– [9:04] – Unique Loot – Lyegrove’s Jewelled Mask

3. Sleight of Hand (Bronze) — Pick 100 pockets in a single playthrough

4. Quickly Pick a Lucky Lock (Bronze) — Pick a lock with masterful speed

Although you do this through natural progression, and using some focus upgrades, here’s is an easier way to do it: Play through the game until you come to a locked door that requires 3 inputs to unlock. Once at this door, save the game using the menu. Now, begin to pick the lock, and memorize the directional inputs required for each part of the lock but do not accept the 3rd direction. Once you have them memorize, back off the lock, and “Load Save”.

You will be put directly in front of the door you saved in front of. Now, begin to pick the lock, and enter the 3 directional inputs required to unlock it as fast as possible, and then open the door. If you did it fast enough, you will unlock the trophy. If it doesn’t unlock, you can reload the save, and try again unless the door triggered a new save point. If it overwrites your save, try again at the next door.

5. Something to Prove (Gold) — Finish the game with a custom difficulty of 700 points or more

6. Dark Archer (Bronze) — Complete 10 optional Thieving Challenges

7. Legend in Leather (Gold) — Complete 25 optional Thieving Challenges

8. Mint Condition (Bronze) — Finish 3 consecutive missions without taking damage

9. Focus on the Tasks at Hand (Bronze) — Pick a pocket and a lock using the focus ability

To do this you must first upgrade the Focus ability “Dexterity” to its maximum level. You can buy focus upgrades from the Beggar’s Queen in the most northern part of The City. To get there fast, pause the game and click “Return to the City” to get to the Beggar’s Queen.
After you’ve upgraded Dexterity, head to the glowing gate around the corner to start Chapter 2: Dust to Dust (can be replayed at the same location if you’ve already beaten it). In the beginning of Chapter 2 is a guard with two pockets and a locked door. Activate focus vision and pick the guard’s pocket, as well as the lock of the closed door.

10. Moral Victory (Gold) — Finish the game without a single kill or knockout

11. One Step Ahead (Bronze) — Disarm ten trap mechanisms

12. Clear Headed (Silver) — Reach the final chapter without using the focus ability

13. Hard Times (Silver) — Finish the game on Master difficulty

14. Modesty Denied (Silver) — Score an epic 5,000,000 or more in a Challenge Map

The easiest way to get to 5 million points is on the “House of Bossoms” map in the “Chain & Gain” Mode. This is a very small map with tons of loot items right next to each other.

Tips: Start by stealthily knocking out / killing all guards on the entire map. Taking out guards will deduct some points at first, but in reality it makes the whole process a lot easier and is the key to success. The goal in this challenge mode is to collect all the loot in very quick succession. The quicker you collect everything, the higher your multiplier and the more points you will get. With all of the guards out of the way, you can focus on the loot and collect it without any disturbance. The loot always spawns in the same place, so you can remember the locations. Again, the goal is to collect all the loot quickly without losing your multiplier. Simply go in every room, use focus vision for a short moment to highlight all objects and pick everything up. Then move on to the next area until you have a chain count of at least 150. This will pretty much guarantee more than 5 million points, as long as you pick everything up quickly enough and maintain your multiplier. This should take you 18-20 minutes.
Note: Don’t ever let your chain count break! It breaks if you haven’t collected anything for a minute.

Once you’ve collected everything, go to the green door between the first and second floor. It will end the level and you will get a huge point boost for your high chain count. Before leaving you’ll only have around 2 million points, but once you finish the map you’ll more than double that due to the extra points. — Also keep in mind that almost all guards carry pockets. So be sure to loot all of them (after taking them out).

15. Child of the Shadows (Bronze) — Finish a single chapter without alerting anyone

Location: “Chapter 1: Lockdown” is a good chapter to unlock this trophy in.
Follow the path taken in this video guide with voice-over tips to make your way through undetected.

16. Hail of Glass (Bronze) — Shoot a bottle in mid-air with an arrow

This doesn’t require any ability upgrades, although bow draw time would help. This can be earned anywhere where you have a bottle and an arrow.

17. Health Hazard (Silver) — Kill or knockout 10 people using the environment

18. Priceless (Bronze) — Complete a collectible set

19. What’s Yours is Mine (Silver) — Complete all collectible sets

20. Hidden Agenda (Bronze) — Discover 15 secret areas

21. Finders Keepers (Silver) — Discover all secret areas

22. Cache Dispenser (Gold) — Use 40,000 gold

23. Working Overtime (Silver) — Complete all Client Jobs in The City

24. Dastardly Deeds (Gold) — Complete all Basso Jobs in The City

25. All That Glitters (Bronze) — Steal 5 collectibles

Location: In “Chapter 1: Lockdown”. Go to Serendi Jewellers shop.

To hit the mother-load, pick up Lyegrove’s Letter in the cellar to find the “739” access code to the safe, which in turn is hidden behind the painting that’s hanging on the wall.

26. More Heist Less Speed (Silver) — Finish the game in 15 hours or more
