How To Unlock New Game +

How to unlock New Game + in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII:

• By beating the game.
• If you run out of time after 13 days in the game.

How To Unlock Japanese Voices

For first two weeks after the February 11th, 2014 launch of “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” Square Enix will give fans a free download (normally it’s paid DLC) of the Japanese voice tracks. This DLC pack includes the original Japanese dialogue and Japanese lip-syncing to provide “a more natural and localized game experience”. (And of course you’ll still be able to turn on subtitles in the language of your choice.)

How To Unlock Special Outfits

We’ll list how to get them below, but first let’s go over how to unlock them for use in the game itself.

How to unlock DLC items to wear in-game:

– First, use the download code(s) given to you to download the DLC outfits/items to your console of choice.
– Second, you’ll need to play part of the game and after reaching an early point in the game open the menu. To open the menu press the Triangle button on PS3 / Y button on Xbox 360, then select the “Rewards Barter Shop” option at the bottom to collect your DLC items.

How to unlock free outfits in the game:

Guardian Corps Garb: If you have save data from Final Fantasy XIII, you get a special garb based on Lightning’s outfits from Guardian Corps in that game. The save file has to be on the same console you’re playing Lightning Returns on to be auto-detected & unlocked. There are no special requirements for the save file at all.

Etro’s Guardian Garb: If you have save data from Final Fantasy XIII-2, you get another special garb based on Lightning’s valkyrie armor from Etro’s Guardian in that game. The save file has to be on the same console you’re playing Lightning Returns on to be auto-detected & unlocked. There are no special requirements for the save file at all.

Noel’s Outfit Changes: Here’s a fun little secret. The look of Noel’s outfit will change depending on which outfit he’s wearing in the most recent Final Fantasy XIII-2 save file of the console you’re playing Lightning Returns on.

Utsusemi Samurai Garb: Downloading the “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Demo” scores you an exclusive piece of DLC to PlayStation 3 fans — called the Utsusemi Samurai garb — that you can use in the full game (it’s not in the demo itself, so don’t panic if you don’t see it). Again, this offer is exclusive to PlayStation owners, so right off the bat you’re getting something not everybody’s going to get, JUST for downloading the Demo.

Siegfried Garb: If you can beat the Zaltys monster at the end of the “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Demo” on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 and you post your score via Outerworld onto your Twitter or Facebook account, you unlock the Siegfried Garb (from Final Fantasy VI) in the full game.
