Japan’s Top 10 Games:

    10. Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

This week Kirby: Triple Deluxe launched in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS. Fans can enjoy the 2.5D platformer goodness, with beautiful 3D effects throughout its levels. (Which as a VB fan makes this the kind of 3D gameplay I wanted from a never-released Virtual Boy Color 15 years ago; EPIC!)

The previous new portable game in the Kirby series, 2006’s Kirby: Squeak Squad, managed to sell 1 million in Japan alone (1.7 million worldwide). By the looks of the chart, Kirby: Triple Deluxe is off to a running start about half a year before the rest of the world can enjoy it.
