Borderlands 2: How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day Walkthrough
Hungry for more, Vault Hunters? You won’t have to wait long – “How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day”, the third Headhunter add-on for Borderlands 2, will be available beginning December 17th for just USD $2.99 / GBP £2.39 / EUR €2,99 on PC and Mac via Steam, Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Marketplace, and PlayStation 3* via PlayStation Network!
Seasonal festivities are one of the major inspirations behind the Headhunter series. In the third Headhunter add-on, How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day, snowmen, holiday jingles and an ugly holiday sweater await in the snowy village of Gingerton all while a train full of Marcus’s guns goes missing. This forces Marcus to enlist the Vault Hunters to search the town for the lost shipment – leading to a showdown against the terrifying Abominable Mister Tinder Snowflake.
To really get you in the holiday spirit, the game developers added in a bandit singing his version of “Carol of the Bells” which was written and performed by audio guy Raison Varner. (You may also recognize Raison as the voice of other certain bandits.) The singing is pretty funny. Oh and you may want to bring some friends…
Welcome to the Borderlands 2: How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day walkthrough! The creator — Gearbox Software designer Josh Jeffcoat — will be your voice-over commentator showing you around the game’s opening areas.
“Get Frosty” Objectives: Take Marcus’s magic wardrobe to Frost Bottom. Head to Gingerton to find out what happened to Marcus’s train shipment. Kill the snowmen and find the train.
Note: This Add-on DLC introduces Christmas-themed lootable items, such as: Present boxes that contain money, eridium or ammo, as well as Christmas-themed weapons chests.
Random Tip: If you knock a goliath’s helmet off, watch out — he’ll take more damage from headshots, but he’ll level up from killing his former allies.
Next, we have the full playthrough on Supreme Vault Hunter Madness difficulty mode up to the Mister Tinder Snowflake boss fight!
Get your extra gameplay tips from King Gothalion & Bahroo on how to beat all the new Yeti & Snowmen enemies.
New character heads and skins will also be available for each character as symbols of your triumph – provided you’re successful in completing this DLC, that is.
To be specific: Once you finally defeat Mister Tinder Snowflake, you’ll unlock a big ol’ snowman head for your Vault Hunter. Each character class gets a different expression as well as a festive new character skin, including a Santa outfit for Salvador the Gunzerker and an ugly sweater for Krieg the Psycho.
Take a look at all you’ll get in this video.
PS: Good news! Gearbox have promised to give us more Headhunter add-ons early next year! 😀
