The Xbox One console launch in America, Canada, Australia & some European countries this Friday and went on to sell 1 million units within 24 hours! The open world survival-horror was a surprise Xbox One-exclusive from Capcom — much like the original Dead Rising was at the Xbox 360 launch. Tauting massive zombie hordes, the title was an easy shoe-in for this week’s top-selling game worldwide.

The 6 weeks of Pokemon X & Y dominance are over. It’s surprising to see that during a week when the newest Final Fantasy title debuts, it’s actually Super Mario 3D World for the 10 times less widespread Wii U console that is the bestselling game. Then again, it’s not so surprising after seeing all the 10/10 rave reviews and game-of-the-year nominations it’s been getting. Well done Mario.
