Resogun Walkthrough

Intro.

Resogun will be one of the first games featured on PlayStation Plus at the launch of PS4, meaning that it’s available for free to all subscribers during the offer period. If you’re not a subscriber, Resogun will also available to purchase on PlayStation Store for just $14.99.

Background.

Resogun is an intense fast-paced shoot em’ up developed exclusively for the PS4 console. It uses a Voxel graphics technique, Voxels are volumetric elements that have their own lights and physics, which is where the game gets its unique look & beautiful graphics from.

Unleash a diverse array of devastating weapons including lasers, missiles, overdrive, and nova-bombs to blast hordes of enemies and rescue the last survivors from distant galactic colonies that are under ruthless attack from an evil alien invasion force.

Story.

Choose your ship and destroy all enemies to save the last members of the human race! Move the left stick to fly your ship and move the right stick left & right to direct your fire at enemies until they blast apart and disappear.

Key Game Features:

  • Rescuing Humans: Your main objective is to rescue as many humans as possible before each world falls to the alien horde. Destroy green enemies to release humans from their cells. The green arrow around your ship points you in the direction of the nearest human to rescue. When you spot any humans running on the ground, fly into contact with them to collect them and then return them to the mothership. If the arrow around your ship turns red, the human is about to be abducted; hurry to save them before it’s too late! — You can review how many humans you’ve saved and how many humans have been lost in the top-left corner of the screen. Green indicates a human who has been successfully rescued; red indicates a human who has been lost.
  • Power Ups and Bonuses: Earn Power Ups and bonuses as you rescue humans and defeat enemies in each level. Destroy enemy cargo ships to gain Power Ups that upgrade your ship’s main weapon. When you collect a human, follow the green arrows to the mothership at the top of the screen and deliver the human to safety to earn rewards such as shields, bombs, extra points, and Overdrive upgrades.

World 1: Acis

Acis is a derelict city of the species known only as the Sentients, presently used as a prisoner processing compound.

Level 1 & 2

Welcome to the Resogun walkthrough! Ghostrobo will be your voice-over commentator showing you around the game’s first levels.

Tip Before Playing: Each ship in Resogun has different strengths and weaknesses that suit different play styles, so you’ll need to try them all out to discover what suits you the best.

• The Ferox ship is balanced in all areas, making it the easiest ship to start playing with.
• Nemesis is the most agile ship, making it perfect for flashy and acrobatic boost kills.
• Phobos is the least agile, but has the most powerful Overdrive beam, making it the perfect choice for filling the screen with special effects that PS3 can only dream of.

All of the ships really come into their own in the co-op multiplayer mode where you can use different combinations of ships to play with a lot of style. And because each ship leads you to play Resogun differently, there are Trophies for completing the game with each ship, and some of the other Trophies will be somewhat easier to unlock with a particular ship than others.

Here are Level 1 & 2 on Planet Acis:

Note: The score multiplier is limited by the difficulty level you choose: Rookie 5x, Experienced 10x, Veteran 15x, and Master 20x.

Work-In-Progress: Please comment to let us know which levels on what planets you’re finding difficult. After the first Planet Acis, the Worlds are: Ceres, Decima, Febris & Mefitis.
