Call of Duty Ghosts Maps Guide

What follows are map guides with tactics gameplay from each of the new Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer maps. Each map overview includes voice-over tips from Ali-A with the best strategies for each map.

It also shows the dynamic map event that can change each map, and map-exclusive streaks you can call in. These new interactive elements and player triggered events that make the maps evolve as the match goes on. There’s a huge range here. From player-triggered traps to map-changing killstreaks, the entire landscape can shift and require new tactics and strategies.

Call of Duty Ghosts Prison Break Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Falling tree. Cut it down to create an extra route to walk on.

Call of Duty Ghosts Octane Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Collapsing Gas Station. Blow up the pump with an explosive to make it collapse for extra cover.

Free Care Package Tip: In the middle of the Octane map there’s an overturned contained that any explosion (like C4 or a grenade) will blow the doors off of to reveal a Care Package inside!

Call of Duty Ghosts Freight Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Locking doors. At one of the middle spawning spots there’s a door to the building you start at that can be locked by moving the round container on wheels in front of the door (press the button on the inside of the door and run out again before it closes).

Call of Duty Ghosts Tremor Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Tremors will visibly shake the map. Be careful, it will throw off your aim.

Call of Duty Ghosts Warhawk Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Mortar Fire. If you complete a Field Order (inside the Blue Briefcases that spawn from killed enemies) on this map, you sometimes get a death-skull symbol. That’s the “Mortar Fire” dynamic map event that will launch a ton of missiles into the sky to randomly take out anyone on the ground outside, while the alarm sirens go off!

Call of Duty Ghosts Stonehaven Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Dynamic Gate. Shoot the castle’s metal entry gate to make it drop, if there’s someone walking underneath it will crush them. Put an explosive on the metal gate to break it open again.

Call of Duty Ghosts Chasm Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Falling Bus.

Here’s the full multiplayer match of a Blitz match on the Chasm map from the Gamescom 2013 commentated livestream.

Call of Duty Ghosts Overlord Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Open & close doors. The Overlord map event which allows you to open and close the two doors in the middle of the map, can be done from inside the building (where the B-flag from Domination is located).

Call of Duty Ghosts Whiteout Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Satellite Crash. Complete Field Orders until you get a Care Package with the event inside. The EMP fallout causes radar and UAV’s to not function in the area where the satellite crashes.

Call of Duty Ghosts Sovereign Map Guide:

Dynamic Map Event: Sabotage. Sabotaging the tank factory causes a Halon Gas explosion in the exact center of the map taking out anyone in the vicinity.
