Call of Duty Ghosts: How To Prestige
Here we’ll go over how getting Prestige works in multiplayer.
The basics:
In multiplayer you can rank up to level 60 at which point you can Prestige and get a new emblem. You can Prestige a flat 10 times in Ghosts, since after the first Prestige your level doesn’t get reset to 0 like it was in previous Call of Duty games. And each time you get enough Experience Points (XP) to level up enough, a new Prestige emblem is given to you to show off how far along you are.
Gaining XP can be done through these tasks:
• Method #1: Play certain game types, notably “Search & Rescue” and/or “Cranked”. These will generally give you more XP than the other game types.
– For example, each kill, confirm & deny in “Search & Rescue” will net you 250 XP, and planting and/or defusing the bomb will give you 500 XP. And don’t forget to pick up the dog tags from by you killed enemies for 250 XP (someone else’s kill’s dog tags still give you 50 XP). Very good score for a 6-8 minutes average playtime per game.
– Similarly in “Cranked”, while you go cranked, each kill’s XP will increase with each follow-up kill.
• Method #2: Do Perk Operations, since new challenges will be added to multiplayer every two weeks. Pay attention to the operations, because upon completion of each one you’ll get a lot of XP.
• Method #3: Completing Field Orders. Pick up the blue briefcases around the map. Complete the challenge inside it to earn XP each time.
