That makes it the first entertainment property — both movies and games — to reach $1,000,000,000 that fast! For example, the previous #1, the last Call of Duty took 2 weeks to get there.

Capcom released Monster Hunter 4 exclusively on Nintendo 3DS last Saturday, and after one week has already sold over 1.875 million copies! The RPG had 1 million pre-orders, and Capcom expects the game to sell 2.8 million copies by March 2014 in Japan alone. No international release was spoken about in Famitsu magazine.
