Apple Removes Sweatshop Game

“Nerdy News” is a mini-news show geared towards gamers, technosexuals, and all other geeky peeps.

In this one hundred and ninth episode of Nerdy News, I’ll be reporting on:

  • Final Fantasy fans rejoice! FFX-2 is going to be bundled with the HD PS3 version of FFX! AND if you know where I can see actual footage of X-2 HD, please let me know!
  • Germany’s Nintendo eShop will now allow Mature rated games to be sold at any time to adults.
  • You can play Sweatshop online…
  • To see for yourself why Apple felt they needed to remove the game from the App store.

Here’s the new episode of Nerdy News!

What do you think?

Do you hope/think FFX-2 has received the same updated graphics as FFX? Do the stricter media rules Germany has assure you that the Nintendo Parental Controls are top notch because they were accepted? Parents, are you more likely to buy Nintendo consoles now that they have passed strict scrutiny? Gamers without kids, do you feel responsible to help create a healthy environment that protects kids from overly mature content? Do you think Apple is unintentionally generating more negative attention on their factory conditions by removing “Sweatshop” from the App Store?
