Square Enix and IO Interactive today announced Hitman HD: Trilogy! The deadly combination of three classic Hitman games includes: Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money. Between them you get 40 intense missions, all presented in glorious HD. Hitman HD: Trilogy will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $39.99.
The Hitman HD: Trilogy is scheduled for release in North America on January 29, 2013 and across Europe and PAL territories on February 1, 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This Hitman Trilogy is rated M for Mature.
The “Premium Edition” of this Hitman Trilogy in HD is free for everyone who gets the first run of the game at launch. It contains: “Exclusive Art Book for Limited Edition version (first run version) 22 pieces of never before seen reinterpretations of classic moments from Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money all done by top artists.”

The original Hitman: Codename 47 game seems to be missing because it was a PC-exclusive all the way back in 2000. The developers have said it’s impossible to port it to consoles without entirely recoding the game from scratch. Which makes it ironic the HD Collection doesn’t get a PC release.
