Finding the Epic Mickey 2 Pin locations unlocks the following achievements/trophies:
* “Apprentice Pin Collector” (10 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Acquired a Collectible Pin for the first time.
* “Devoted Pin Collector” (25 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Found 88 Collectible Pins.
* “Master Pin Collector” (25 Gamerscore / Gold Trophy) — Collected 176 Collectible Pins.

Epic Mickey 2 Pins Locations Guide

The game’s director/designer/creator Warren Spector says that opposed to Pins doing nothing in the original Epic Mickey, in Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two pins will have a use, such as giving players buffs and boosts that alter gameplay to your benefit.

To quote: “You can go to the Pin Shop (on Mean Street) and show off your collection to your friends and all that. Unless you’re a crazy tester, you’re not going to get them all in one playthrough, but it is possible.”
Collecting Pins will also unlock Disney artwork and other extra in-game content. Access what you unlock from the pause menu.

At 11 minutes into this video guide you can see the first Pin being found in the “Yen Sid’s Lab” Prologue level. – Finding it on PS3, Xbox 360, or PC/Mac will also unlock the “Apprentice Pin Collector” Achievement or Trophy.

There are a total of 176 hidden Pins to be collected in Epic Mickey 2. These are Gold, Silver and Bronze colored Disney Pins. You will gain these by completing missions, exchanging film reels, opening the bright red Treasure Chests, and in hidden locations.

But in order to get all of the collectible Pins you will most likely need to play through the game a total of 2 or 3 times. Playing as Good, Evil and Medium good/evil Mickey. Note that the game’s creator Mr. Spector did say (quoted above) that it’s possible to get all Pins in one playthrough is you’re really good at the game.
