Assassin’s Creed 3 Almanac Pages
In order to achieve this, you need to (at random!) collect all four pieces of any volume of Benjamin Franklin Almanac. This can only be done after you meet Benjamin Franklin on the streets of Boston after you exit your ship. You’ll find him at the beginning of Sequence 2: Mystery Guest, in Mission 1: Welcome To Boston, as shown in the video above. You can start collecting the Almanac Volume 1 Pages in 1733-1736 Boston.
The Almanac Pages appear in specific locations as the paper blows through the air. When you spot one floating up in the sky, give chase with your free-running skills until you get close enough to grab it. Expect it to float around the height of the first floor of a house.
Does the game save each Almanac Page you collect?: Yes, right after you pick it up you should on-screen text confirming how many you’ve collected so far, as well as seeing the white Apple of Eden saving icon on the left side of your screen.
How to find (missing) Almanac Pages?: You cannot tell which page will belong to where so start collecting all of the pages that you can find by looking on the Boston map and look for the piece of paper icon. When you get all 4 to a volume, you should unlock the on-screen “Blowing in the Wind” Achievement/Trophy as verification. Alternatively, you can buy an in-game map for them at the General Store.
What if I failed to grab the Almanac Page from the air?: As you chase down the almanac page to collect it, you may not always grab it in time, but don’t worry it didn’t disappear forever. If the almanac page is lost, come back later to the same area to find it again! After a short while all pages respawn, just make sure you walk 100 meters away from the spawn point and then come back a minute or so later.
To clarify, even if you mess up you can retry over and over for as long as it takes you to learn the path it blows along. But you will have to wait a little while away from the spot you lost the page, and then return to the location to try again.
Where to find the Almanac Pages in Assassin’s Creed 3? The in-game locations for the Almanac Pages are described in these detailed video guides.
20 Boston Almanac Pages:
Those were just the 4 you need to get the achievement/trophy, for the rest watch this guide with a map:
16 New York Almanac Pages:
There you go! All Almanac Pages in Assassin’s Creed 3 are yours! 🙂
Important: You’ll always be able to find the random Almanac Pages on your mini-map as you cross through Boston and New York (but regularly check your whole map too), there’s four pages in each city making for a total of eight pages to find. The Almanac Pages are used to craft Ben Franklin’s inventions! Every four of the same chapter unlock a new invention to craft for display at your Homestead Manor. So you’ll want to collect them all to achieve 100% synch in the Animus.
