16. Patent Not Pending (10G) — Craft one of Franklin’s inventions to decorate your Manor.

This video guide shows what you need to make a Ben Franklin invention.

17. House Party (10G) — Recruit any of the Artisans and see them settled on the Homestead.

This can be done during Sequence 5, Mission: A Boorish Man / The Whittler’s Weapons.
After you save the guy floating down the river on the log, you start the first mission available after that where you must kill a group of people at top of a cliff and save the man hanging over the cliff. After you save him and watch the cutscene, you should get the House Party Achievement/Trophy.

18. A Complete Set (20G) — See all the optional characters settled at the Homestead.

19. Original Gamer (20G) — Win a game of Fanorona, Morris and Bowls on the Homestead.

Mark has discovered the easiest way to win 9 Man Morris. Here are the steps to take:

Step 1: Go to this Merrelles website and once there set the computer difficulty to 7, which is the roman numeral VII at the bottom-right of game.
Step 2: In Assassin Creed 3 have your computer opponent make the first move.
Step 3: Now here’s the trick to winning. Whatever move the computer opponent in Assassin’s Creed 3 makes, you have to make that same move on the Merrelles game website linked above. Because of the high difficulty mode you set the website on, the website is sure to beat you at the game. And you can use those best moves to win in Assassin’s Creed 3.
Step 4: Then each following move you see the Merrelles game website make, mimic that same move in Assassin’s Creed 3.
Step 5: If you’re a little confused, don’t be. You’re just using the same moves that made you lose on the website to win in Assassin’s Creed 3. Just keep going until you finish the 9 Man Morris game. It should only take one try for you to win and unlock the achievement/trophy in-game.

Additional help for all three different games is provided by Powerpyx here:

Important note: You have to complete most of Homestead side missions before all three games become available in Assassin’s Creed 3! The tactics of your enemy will vary a lot, especially for the Fanorona game. Try to copy the first moves shown in the video, but keep in mind that it will all get random at some point and you need to adjust your tactics.

Video guide help: Fanorona game can be seen at 0:10 minutes.
Requirement to unlock: Can be played in the homestead manor and becomes available during DNA sequence 5.
Description: The goal is to capture all enemy pieces. You can move your own piece multiple times each round, as long as an attack is possible. Concentrate on taking out the majority of enemy pieces very quickly without losing too many of your own. When your enemy has 3 pieces left you should have at least 6. You will sometimes have to sacrifice one of your pieces to make the opponent attack and to take his piece in return. This is the hardest game out of all three and the computer changes the tactics a lot. Try to stick to the first moves shown in the video. It’s very important to get the upper hand early on.

Video guide help: Bowls game can be seen at 3:26 minutes.
Requirement to unlock: Can be played outside the homestead inn and becomes available during the 4th homestead mission of Godfrey & Terry.
Description: The goal is to have your bowls closest to the red bowl at the end of a round. The more of your bowls are close to the red bowl, the more points will you get. The first player who gets 5 points will win. This is by far the easiest mini-game. Your opponent is very inaccurate and barely gets any points. Always use the tactical camera for a better overview and you shouldn’t have any trouble with this.

Video guide help: Morris game can be seen at 5:46 minutes.
Requirement to unlock: Can be played in the homestead inn and becomes available after doing the homestead mission for Oliver and Corrine.
Description: The goal is to leave the enemy with less than 3 pieces or block all possible moves. To take out enemy pieces you need to line up 3 of your own pieces. Start by placing pieces on two corners of the board. When your opponent has two pieces in a row then block the third place. Each player has 9 pieces. Once all of them have been played you can only move the pieces one field per round. Try to build a “trap” where you can move one piece back and forth and get a line of 3 in each round. Once your opponent has only 3 pieces left he can place it anywhere on the board.

20. Bring Down the House (20G) — Explore Fort Wolcott.

Location: To visit Fort Wolcott you have to do the first part of the “Peg Leg” side mission. The quest giver can be found at the harbor of the Homestead area.
Find one Peg Leg Trinket (marked on your map) and return it to the quest giver. You will then have to use your ship to reach Fort Wolcott. It’s like the “Assassin Tombs” from previous games. Just follow the path of the mission and avoid being detected. You will automatically get the trophy / achievement when the mission is over. Nothing special needs to be explored.

21. Kidd Gloves (30G) — Uncover the mystery of Oak Island.

22. All Washed Up (40G) — Complete all Naval Missions aboard the Aquila.

23. Entrepreneur, not Pirate! (20G) — Complete all 12 Privateer Contracts.

24. Tumblehome (10G) — Upgrade the Aquila.

This can be done after Sequence 5, after you repair the ship, named The Aquila.
Go to the pier where the ship is docked and there should be an open book. Go to the book to see the upgrade. Buy any upgrade and you should unlock the Achievement/Trophy. I brought the extra cannon upgrade, as it’s the cheapest.

25. By Invitation Only (20G) — Be invited to join a Club.

This can be done during Sequence 5, after you play as the eagle.
After the eagle gameplay, move to the homestead on the map and you will be invited to the English Hunting Society. You should unlock the Achievement/Trophy from here.

26. In Good Standing (30G) — Complete all challenges for any of the Clubs.

27. Man of the People (20G) — Liberate all districts in Boston OR New York.

28. Monopoly Man (10G) — Send a convoy to Boston, New York and the Frontier.

Visit a store in Boston, New York and the Frontier and then send a convoy to each one. That’ll unlocked this Achievement/Trophy.

29. Blowing in the Wind (20G) — Retrieve every page for one of Ben Franklin’s Almanacs. — To find all 36, check out our Assassin’s Creed 3 Almanac Pages Locations Guide.

30. Completionist (50G) — Complete ALL progress tracker grid entries.

31. Multitasking (20G) — Complete 50% of the Progress Tracker entries.

32. Spit Roast (20G) — Perform a double assassination using a musket.

This can be done during Sequence 2, Mission 5: Infiltrating Southgate.
Look for a musket and make sure it’s loaded. Then assassinate someone by stabbing then and then shoot while stabbing them to try and kill another soldier. If done correctly, you should unlock this achievement/trophy. Keep going around and trying this if you fail the first time.

33. Circus Act (10G) — Kill 15 guards with a single cannon shot.

Location: Sequence 10: Grim Expectations, in Mission 3: Battle of Monmouth.
Right after the sequence starts you will be in control of a cannon and have to fight off some enemies. Aim slightly to the left and as far back as you can. Shoot into the approaching group of soldiers and you should get the 15 kills on your first shot. If you miss the shot you can either restart the checkpoint or wait for another group of soldiers.

34. Predator (10G) — Hang 5 enemies by using rope darts.

This can be done right after Sequence 5, when you help your friend learn how to hunt in the woods.
What you want to do is climb to the roof and go to the ledge of the roof, then equip the dart. Hook on to someone — to do this you have to hold the Y button on Xbox 360 (hold the Triangle button on PS3) until the enemy is lifted into the air — then just use your analogue stick to jump off in the opposite direction of where they are. Do this 5 times and you should unlock this Achievement/Trophy.

35. Prince of Thieves (10G) — Loot a convoy without killing any of its guards.

Location: The Frontier Area.
A convoy is a horse-drawn carriage that is guarded by some soldiers and a drummer. There are fixed spawn points for them, but they can also appear randomly at any daytime and weather condition. One of these convoys has a 50% spawn chance in front of the Templar Fort that is located in the south-western corner of the map. There is a harbor nearby that can be used as a fast travel station. If the convoy doesn’t spawn you can travel to another map and return later.

To actually loot the convoy without killing anyone you just have to use your fists instead of lethal weapons. This will knock your enemies out and not kill them. You can also use smoke bombs to stun the soldiers and finish them more quickly. Once all guards are defeated you have to interact with the back of the carriage for some nice loot. This technique can also be used to farm money quickly!

36. Whit’s fur ye’ll no go by ye! (10G) — Block a firing line 5 times by using a human shield.

This can be done during Sequence 2, Mission 5: Infiltrating Southgate.
After you free the three groups of slaves, you’ll spawn at the side of the road and up ahead will be a group of people with guns. Lure as many enemies toward this group of people with guns as possible until you see yellow triangles above the enemies. Then press the A [360] or X [PS3] button to grab the closest enemy and have them shoot him instead of you. Do this five times and you should unlock this achievement/trophy.

37. Jager Bomb (20G) — After becoming fully Notorious, kill 10 Jagers before losing your notoriety.

38. Magna cum Laude (20G) — Have a Trainee reach the Assassin Rank.

39. Coureur des Bois (10G) — Exchange undamaged pelts at all different general stores.

40. Eye Witness (10G) — Witness a predator killing an enemy.

Predators are Bears, Bobcats, Cougars, Wolves, Foxes. There are a bunch of scripted events in the Frontier area where one of these animals kills a hunter. They have fixed locations and can happen at any daytime. Go to the Packanack hunting zone on the western part of the map. There is a road going from north to south. Follow the road until you come to a restricted area (highlighted in red). Go up a hill to the west and you will encounter several bobcats, as well as two hunters.
You may not be in open conflict with any of the hunters or animals! Otherwise, they won’t attack each other. Don’t shoot or harm the bobcats, they might run away.
If you cannot get this done on the first try then get yourself killed and everyone will respawn. Just wait until one of the hunters runs into a bobcat and keep watching.

41. Fin (30G) — Complete each of the epilogue missions unlocked after the credits roll.
