LinkedIn profiles from EA DICE employees are suggesting that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 and Mirror’s Edge 2 are both in development at the studio.
Profiles from Michael Joseph C., as well as ex-EA employees, list the two as-of-yet unannounced games. The since-removed quotes say:
1. “Provided video game prototype, design and demo feedback on various AAA titles including the Battlefield: Bad Company 3, Dead Space 2, Devil May Cry 5 and other unannounced titles between 2009 and 2011.”
2. “Implemented in Mirror’s Edge 2 the wandering of crowd system within Unreal3 engine between July and August 2009.”
3. “Implemented new gadgets and interactive features into Mirror’s Edge 2, including leaderboards and a mini-game embedded into Mirror’s Edge game story.”
Last year Electronic Arts president Frank Gibeau already hinted that they had not “killed Mirror’s Edge [as a franchise] and are actively looking at how to bring it back in the right way” using the DICE Frostbite 2 engine, reports Gamerzine.
